This store owes me $150 in credit, the lady in the Michigan store said it would be honored up until the day the store would close down and even use it to shopjoann.com . However I went there a week before and they refused to accept it. I am not happy. I was led to believe I could use my credit so never rushed to buy anything and now I am stuck with a worthless card and have no recourse. The staff had no interest in solving my problem and told me that no one was running the show.

I'm pretty sure that this store doesn't care now because it's closing but I'm really upset about a purchase I made on Mothers Day 2025, not a happy one. I spent over $100 on faulty solar lights. None of them work! So Joann's is able to sell their junk to the public and we have no recourse. That was money that wasn't easy to come by. I talked to someone at the store, and I was told it was like Russian Roulette. That's just great. Thanks for your non compassion. No wonder you went bankrupt. Criminal actually. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THAT LOSER STORE!!

Joanns is an absolute rip off. When you purchase an item that they put in a section of what you are looking for and it turns out to not be the item you are looking for they will not exchange it or refund money for their false advertising. I was looking for a block of white foam and they had a block of white batting on the same shelf. As soon as I walked out of the door I opened the bag to discover it was not foam. I immediately went back in and explained the problem. I was told that they would not refund or exchange the item. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Beware!

North Richland Hills, TX - clearly marked their home decor fabrics at 70% off. Went to checkout and they claimed it was only 60% off. BAIT AND SWITCH. Ever wonder why they went bankrupt? I say "Good Riddance". The manager was not helpful at all; the cutting table was snarky. I wasn't the only person with issues - in the checkout line (which they had 1 person working with about 10 customers in line) multiple people in line indicated they were overcharged.

Got my mom a gift card for Christmas went to use it and they said we were unable to use it cause they were going out of business. What!!! So now I’m out of all that money. Horrible.

Even 1 star is too high. Been a customer at the Aurora, CO since it opened. Staff’s attitude match the condition of the store-poor. Wanted to buy a classroom desk they were selling. Small but too awkward to load myself. The manager flat refused to help stating that “no one could help me.” When I said I couldn’t load it myself she said, “buy it & we’ll keep it overnight. Bring help tomorrow. I said I don’t have help, It’s just me. She says, well we can’t help. Needless to say,I didn’t buy their darn desk.

The Jo Ann’s in Shawnee Mission, KS is always crowded and they never have enough help at the fabric counter. Another thing, the restroom is disgusting and it smells and the floors and toilets look as if they haven’t been cleaned in years. They need to do better.

Replacement gift card not available
My order was canceled after being out of stock. Purchased with a gift card, upon cancellation they claim a replacement was emailed. I never received the email although I have received numerous other ones since. Due to Joann filing bankruptcy, they cannot issue a new gift card for who knows how long and won't replace with another fabric. They cannot be trusted and I will not order from them again.

Worlds worst refund policy
Careful buying anything expensive from here. I bought a $400 printer that was faulty out of the box. I tried to return it within a few days and they will not return my money. This has been the worst customer service i have ever experienced. This place is a legit scam and has no regard for consumer protection.

I have put in 2 orders. I never got the first. I was paid back through PayPal who charged me $1.50 to send me the check as I wouldn't give them my bank account number or password. I put in my 2nd order and am still getting the run-around plus they didn't put in the full order. I will not order through this company again. It won't do any good to notify them as nothing will be done.

Ignorant and rude
I placed an online order for pick up. It was cancelled by Joann. I tried placing it again and they cancelled it again. I called customer service and was told that my order did not pass verification. Supposedly my card number was wrong But both charges went through just fine because they came out of my account. Now no one will speak to me. Horrible customer service clearly out of another country. Will never shop there again and I supply a home business so it's a big loss for them

Placed an order in December for 30 no sew fleece blanket kits to make and donate. Shipped out a few at a time, and then 10 days later I was notified that 8 of them were canceled because they were out of stock. Even though they were still available for sale on their website. Chat customer service was useless, and wasted an hour on the phone trying to get them to honor a price adjustment. Ordered another 14, and now 9 days later 2 were just canceled. Another 6 are still processing, but I don’t have high hopes. Contacted customer service to see if they’d honor the price I previously paid and expedite shipping on some new ones so we receive in time for our event next week. They said I have to wait another 3-5 business days to hear back. By that point it will be too late. Worst shopping and customer service experience ever.

I received a singer HD sewing machine for Christmas. The machine was defective,the bobbin threading part wouldn’t engage so I was unable to fill the bobbin..We took it back to the store and the clerk tried to say it was because the thread was a heavy duty thread,which made no sense…anyhow she put on a lightweight thread and it still didn’t work. We said we wanted to return it and get our money back,she told us that wasn’t their policy, all the while she was standing under a very large sign that said that it was their policy. We pointed that out to her and she said that was an old sign from years ago and no longer their policy. We would love to buy locally but with service like that, it just doesn’t work.

Worse retail store experience encountered. This company filed bankruptcy and closing its stores down, and I am not surprised. Do not place online orders with this company. They will put a hold on your money and they will not pick your orders. Not only is your money taken, your money isn’t returned for awhile if order is canceled or items are unavailable. Your order will linger around for days and no one will tend to them. This store (Torrance CA) doesn’t pick up their phone either. I’ve called throughout the day hoping to save a far drive but no one answers and I was forced to go to the store to ask about my order 1/9/25.Their inventory is not accurate. It shows they have it online but they don’t physically have it. I went to the actual store and walked around—they had no inventory on the floor so I stood in line (for 30 minutes) to see if my order was pulled. This big store could not afford two cashiers. There was only one register and I had to stand in line for half an hour. The line was really long. It is the company's fault for not hiring enough manpower on the floor. When I asked the cashier Lauren why she didn't have backup she said there was no other person available. She eventually calls for backup and the supervisor comes around. The supervisor Jazz was nonchalant and non-apologetic. I told her her job is to make sure everything is running smoothly and she snaps back with a response saying they're short-staffed. I told her even if they're short staffed she should be helping. I even asked if she was on lunch break and she said no. They hire young inexperienced workers that are paid cheap to handle these bottom feeder jobs. When I asked about my order, the cashier immediately said they didn’t pull any orders that day WITHOUT even checking in the back and I had to ask her to double check since I made the drive. She leaves and comes back and said they didn’t have it and I was told they’ve been backed up since the holidays with hundreds of orders. I asked her “so you guys haven’t been pulling orders?” And she just said “It’s not that…” an answer you’d expect from a kid. This place is a dump. It’s a matter of time when this store will be closing down. The website needs better inventory control and floor management—and the store needs to pay more careful attention to online orders. The supervisor acted like it wasn’t busy and left her coworker alone, she could’ve been tending to the orders in the back. I left without my order, time and gas wasted, and my money tied up with the bank. Save yourself the headache and time dealing with this store. Purchase someplace else more convenient and handled more professionally by staff.

This is the worst company to order online. The items never arrive, however Jo Ann will debit you account, then send an email stating that the items were lost and you will receive refund in 10 to 14 working days. I have not been in a Jo Ann store so I am wondering how bad is it? Perhaps Jo Ann needs to hire a business that will educate and train them how to fulfill online orders. Save time, money, and a your sanity...don't order from JoAnn. I am still waiting on my money after a month. I think Jo Ann is scamming people out of their money.

Really bad customer service
I ordered some items on Black Friday and received part of this order. But the main item I used the discount code for got canceled right before Christmas and left me with no time to be the same item anywhere which crushed my little girl's wish to Santa! Not only that, I also tried to request a price match in which Joann's price is much higher than the other stores. However, I didn't receive any reply for a whole week. I called and waited an hour, yet no one picked up the phone.
