I received a pear boxed gift set and all the pears were blackened and bruised. A couple also had holes in them, most likely from fingers. Disgusted!

They suck Plain and simple
It took 2 months for my delivery to get here. My sister in law had to order it 3 times. The 1st one was supposed to get here December 7 ,2025. I got it February 7,2026. All of the pears were rotten and the apples are not far behind. Every time we called they lied and said it was on it's way but wouldn't give us a tracking number. When we went to tracking on their website, there was nothing there. All of their customer service people are foreign, which means they are out sourcing to another country. I would not suggest ordering from them ever.
I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Harry & David. I ordered an fruit tower for a friend who had just undergone surgery, and the timing of the gift was important. Instead, the shipping label wasn’t even created until the last day it was supposed to arrive, and the package ended up being over a week late. When something is meant to show support during a vulnerable moment, a delayed delivery isn’t just an inconvenience — it completely undermines the purpose of the gift. Simply offering to replace the order isn’t enough when the moment has passed. You don’t get a mulligan for something like this.I chose Harry & David specifically because of their reputation, but this experience was embarrassing and deeply disappointing. I expected better from a brand known for reliability, and I hope they take situations like this more seriously in the future.
This is the last time I order from H&D. Every time I've had some issue with delivery time, product quality on arrival, or problem resolution. Don't waste your time!
I'd give zero stars if possible. They are a scam, I think. I ordered 2 baskets for a friend who just lost her husband. One was delivered as scheduled and the second still has not arrived and likely will be frozen when it does. Customer service is completely useless - even the actual humans, not just the bots. They just make the situation worse by arguing with the customer. Obviously Harry and David doesn't care at all about their crappy reputation.
I would leave NO STARS as Harry and David is a rip off - my order was placed on 31 December 2025 and as it is now 22 Jan 2026 still waiting for delivery. they have a smart way of not leaving an email for communication, there is a phone number but what happens when you try to call?? Try it WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!
I’ve sent gifts to a friend. It’s quite pricey but she’s so wonderful and she always said the fruit was good. One of my favorite fruits are honey bells/tangelo so I splurged. One year I couldn’t find in the stores IN season and I live in Florida. I splurged and was so excited and was trying not to focus on high price. They were in transit for several days (showed up 3 days past when it stayed). It was as NOT worth it. Such a disappointment. Half of them were over ripe and the others were not as good as I’ve had in the past. Yes it’s only fruit but so expensive. Would have been worth it if they were good quality but they were not good at all. May be just bad luck but I’ll never trust Harry& David again.
Received gift basket at Christmas which was classic tower. Fruit received was spoiled and 3 items were missing. Contacted company and they were willing to replace. Received new package after 2 weeks and again the fruit was spoiled. One item was missing. Candy items were of good quality, others not so much. Smoked salmon was a piece of filet which crumbled into pieces when removing from the package Did not taste like salmon or had smoked taste, was oily and not pleasant.
This was my first and LAST experience with H&D. The product was outrageously overpriced, but I allowed myself to be taken in by the unsolicited marketing email I received. I will NOT be buying again - EVER. I needed to place the order by phone because the product of interest suddenly vanished from their website. During ordering, I simply asked the rep if it was possible to request a larger slab of meat (brisket) rather than a smaller size, as the range of weights for the product varied significantly. Of course, the rep acknowledged and stated she would submit the request, but could not ensure the request would be considered. Well…surprise, surprise – it wasn’t. I suppose nobody involved in order picking has the time or inclination to consider any customer request. I’ll give you 3 guesses what size slab I received…yep – the absolute minimum size possible – and at an obnoxiously outrageous price per pound. NEVER AGAIN. So there you have it. NEVER AGAIN, my ‘friends’…you just lost another customer for life. I discovered I can buy far better quality meat, prepared how I want it, for much less money at a local butcher shop. Thank you very little. I’m more pissed at myself for making such an idiotic error at my age – I should know better. I told you not to be stupid, you moron.
I placed an order on December 23rd to be delivered the next day on the 24th. I paid the extra $43 to expedite. Long story short, it was delivered on January 6th. I was told several times it was in route and was going to be delivered. I finally got the package sent to a nearby FedEx pickup. It was never picked up and then it finally got delivered on January 6th. They did refund the express shipping. I didn't realize this was the second time I had such horrible experience with him until I searched my order history.
I ordered gift baskets for my mother to send to family and friends. The shipping cost were over $30 per item. When the items arrived they were in good order, and good quality. If shipping costs could be reduced I would order again.
Terrible. I didn’t actually place an order because they tried to charge me $26 for shipping on a $39 order. And wouldn’t give not give me an exact day. The conversation I had with them about this was absolutely ridiculous.
January 12, 2026 “Harry and David”THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMASDecember 22, 2025, I called Harry and David, Gourmet Gifts and Food with some trepidation to see if they could deliver two lobster pies and a truffle box to our family in Logan, UTAH...NOT NORTH LOGAN. Our family was all down with the flu and too sick to go out and grocery shop. My first question of the sales person was could they guarantee delivery by December 24, 2025 being so close to Christmas. Oh, yes no problem all I had to do was pay an exorbitant amount for fast shipping and I did. I also ordered a lobster pie for us.December 24, 2025 both my son and I receive notices the packages from Harry and David were being delivered by 6PM to “NORTH” Logan. Our son’s address has NO NORTH in it. We both spent most of the day on the phone with Harry and David/Fed EX trying to correct the address. Harry and David said they, themselves couldn’t contact “their” shipper Fed EX. OF COURSE THEY COULD. The order never showed up. I spent the rest of December first pleading then threatening this totally inefficient company to do what they promised. No one at Harry and Davids has a clue what the other person is doing. I received a refund on the shipping...three different figures that did not add up. Each call I made, I was given a different story and the date of the gift’s arrival changed with each call. Finally, a sales gal said it would be December 31, 2025. That day I received endless emails from the company. One said the gift was being delivered that day. One said the lobster was no longer available. The third said they were issuing a refund. The lobster pie did arrive. Between myself and my son it was just so disappointing after all the hell, who could enjoy it. I had ordered a lobster pie for my husband and I at the same time I did the one for our son and his family. We live in AR and it seems the gift was handled in Ohio. Why we got ours and they didn’t get theirs is beyond me. All those endless emails from sales persons showed a total lack of communication within this company. No one seemed to have authority to do anything but promise and not deliver. So any of you out there wanting a special gift to be delivered on time, I would go elsewhere...the pies were nothing to write home about. AND certainly not worth ruining Christmas like this did.
Do not trust Harry & David with your gift. I have spent thousands over the years with this company. This year, they completely failed to deliver a gift ordered weeks in advance and GUARANTEED to be delivered before Christmas Eve. When I heard the gift was never received weeks later, I followed up. They offer ZERO compensation for their failed guaranteed delivery. They can’t even make the same gift now. They simply offered a refund with nothing else. I requested to speak to someone who had authority to make other decisions. As a business owner myself I would want to know of systemic failures. I was told they would give a refund, can’t talk to anyone else, take it or leave it. They ruined my gift to my friend by failing to deliver it at all. Had I not followed up with my friend I never would have known. This company guarantees nothing. They don’t deliver. They are dishonest and misrepresent their fake guarantee. Do not trust Harry & David with your gifts. I am deeply disappointed in their policies and failed customer service.
Been wondering where i can rate this company still not sure but at least here is a start. They guarantee delivery but to where? My package didn't get delivered to where it needed to go. Top it all off making it easy to chat or talk to someone is not their motto. You have to call a number. Won't be shopping here next year. Too bad
I ordered a yellow Gerber daisy and what was delivered was a yellow Kalanchoe. Since I paid $56.98 and nowhere did they say they would substitute another flower plant,I called customer service and the representative barely spoke English but assured me they would send out a yellow Gerber daisy, to which recipient did not receive on the date provided, I again called customer service and stated I ordered a yellow Gerber daisy not a Kalanchoe and this rep assured me they would send out a yellow Gerber Daisy. What arrived was yet another yellow Kolanchoe. Beware when ordering plants or flowers you may not receive what you ordered.
Their customer service is non existent. They made multiple mistakes, starting with incorrect shipping addresses for 37 of our 38 corporate orders. (We made it very simple for them, and provided an accurate spreadsheet, they managed import all but one address incorrectly.) When this was caught on our end, they took NO ownership of the mistake. They played "pass the buck" throughout the entire process, blaming other departments, and providing no real solutions. Our emails would be ignored, and require multiple follow ups. And that was only the beginning of the nightmare. These were annual holiday corporate gifts for high end clients, and it was a disaster. In the end, we turned to an alternate company to fulfill our gift orders, costing us twice as much. We never received any refund from Harry and David on the botched orders. We will never use Harry & David's again.
Harry & David products used to arrive in pristine condition and tasted heavenly. For the past couple of years the items (pears) we have received arrived in horrible condition (well past prime) and did not taste good at all. VERY disappointing for a product that is so costly. I would no longer recommend purchasing from them, which is a shame because when the fruit tasted good their baskets were very nice gifts.
Absolute worst customer service ever.Someone sent me a gift from Harry & David. It was delivered to the wrong address. I spent 3 hours on customer service chat with 4 different agents trying to resolve the issue and get a new gift sent. Here's how it works — it takes them 10, 15 maybe 20 minutes to ask a question. Repeated "please hold while I...". And then they ask the same question again. It's comical how terrible their service is.After being "disconnected" twice, and promised 2 different new delivery dates, the package never came. And so I started the customer service reporting process again.I told the sender to reverse the charge and file a complaint with the BBB.If your customer service line can't keep up with the issues, it's a sign.
