Lacking stock
Spent the whole day shopping with my new membership. After a few hours, checking out, I was disappointed that the VIP gift I choosed is gone in my cart. Now says sold out. Few things needs improving is to refresh the free gifts available to choose from. There were only 3 items, 2 were already claimed before I shopped. Same with free samples. I did noticed that comparing with and without subscription was biased. It said more free samples with membership, but before signing up...it was the same number of free samples if I didn't have a membership. The shipping costs changed without a membership which you will need to spend $79 in order to get free ship...which is why i chosed to pay the membership. Even spending $29 a year...Im doubting now where am I saving anything if I don't get my free gifts. I was about to place an order, but now I can't due to their unavailability. I also noticed lack in stock with their Mrs. Meyers.

Loyal Customer, But I’m Done
I was one of Grove’s earliest supporters — I loved what they stood for and told everyone about them. I even tested products for them! But the Grove I fell in love with isn’t the same anymore. Customer service has really gone downhill, and it’s just not worth it now. I cancelled my membership today. Save yourself the frustration and look somewhere else.

It was a nightmare to cancel
It was a nightmare to cancel. They kept sending me products after I canceled and charged my card. Multiple times a month I would write them, because you can not contact via phone. Finally they said send the product back and we will refund. I sent back and never got a refund.

Swimming teacher anna-national aquatic center
We have been so lucky to have Teacher Anna for swimming lessons for both of our children in the national aquatic center. My son found swimming very difficult and we tried lots of different lessons over 3 years with no progress. Within a few weeks of group lessons with Anna he had come on ao much. Anna's classes were so fun for the kids but also really well organised. She has such a good way with the kids and could give all the kids some 1:1 attention and alter the activities according to their level. My son has now moved to level 2 thanks to Anna's great work woth him. We never thought that would happen! My 4 year old daughter has now started with Anna and she was so reluctant to even get into the pool. Once again Anna's patient and friendly nature had her loving her swimming lessons. Everyone in our family used to dread swimming day! Anna has turned this around for all of us. It is fantastic seeing the kids make so much ans have so much fun. I can't recommend Anna enough

Do Not Fulfill Their Promised Incentives
The say you’ll receive product if you spend so much amount of money. I should have received two free items with how much I purchased and I did NOT receive them. Grove never reached out to inform me that they could not fulfill said items. I will absolutely not be buying from them again. It’s incredibly manipulative to use incentives to get your customer to spend more and then unfulfill them.

Ordered two items. One tracking number provided for order. 1 item arrived and Grove marked the order complete. Can only reach them by email and yet, no email is provided on website.

You are forced to buy items you don't need.
Once you subscribe to an item, you have to keep at least one subscribed item in your cart, regardless of whether or not you need it, otherwise your entire cart will be deleted and reset for next month. This is entirely your fault because you removed the item despite the warning that never popped up, and they won't do anything about it. Grove claims they're not forcing you to buy items you don't need because your options are to either buy the thing you don't need or buy nothing at all. You will NEVER speak to an actual supervisor, and they are super dodgy and won't provide a reason why.

Laundry detergent ordered and took 1 month to arrive
We ordered a couple bottles of Dirty Labs detergent on May 24th. Two weeks later it hadn’t arrived so I called and someone who answered the phone said, “oh, we had a lot of shipments that never arrived”. So, I had them reship. A couple weeks go by and nothing so I called them again and their message now states they weren’t answering their phone and to submit something on their website.At which point I called my credit card company and had them reverse the charge due to I never received the product. Finally one day they arrived. I waited to see what they’d tell the credit card company. SP Grove then took almost the entire month that they were allowed to refute before they said they shipped it a full 1 month past when I’d placed the original order. Like the products but this company’s operations and their customer support means they won’t get anymore of my money.

I loved being a VIP member
I loved being a VIP member. They have amazing sales and free products you can choose from if you submit an order and to add to another order. Anytime I had an issue with a product, they provided prompt and thorough customer service: providing a credit so that my next order was discounted in the amount of the product reported. They continued to improve each year with more deals and rewards whether you were a VIP member or not.

I think the system prevented me from giving a "0". Extremely bad return service. No response to return request sent via email. No call number, online chat, whatsoever. Email is the only way of communication, and I can't get a hold of them. Nothing can be more frustrating than that for an online shopper.

Incredible customer service
Incredible customer service! I accidentally submitted 2 of the same order, and I was immediately connected with an agent using the site's chatbot on a Saturday. She cancelled the order right away and helped close out an email I had sent to make sure both orders didn't get cancelled. Blown away, and the product selection is wonderful. Love that the shipping is carbon neutral, as easy as Amazon (with the same low prices) and much better for the environment.

The doctor was great, that is the positive. I didn’t even get to the order stage. Delays, non responsive, can’t call even during business hours, email is slow, no tech support on website. Took about a week to get a discharge notice. I was switching from another company and this was way worse. Plus I went from CBD, oil and 30% flower to 20% so I would have needed a whole bunch of appointments to get that sorted. For someone who has used MC for over a year I can’t believe they could be this bad.

I used this company one time. I did everything I could to cancel any future orders with them. I did not like their minimum order amount and did not need their product as frequently as they were setting me up to receive. Too many issues now
We've been using Grove for years. They have really great products. But we can no longer shop with them.For the last several months, something changed with their website and app. They always say our cc is expired, which it isn't; and it's tricky to add/remove items from shopping cart. We were recently supposed to have 2 shipments come and they never arrived, so I wrote to customer service. They said there was an issue and that they'd reship them. Those never showed up either, so I asked for a refund. Until they fix all of these problems, we will not be using them anymore.

Grove used to be great
Grove used to be great. Customer service used to be good. It has gone downhill in the worst way, and it makes me sad because I don't want to support amazon or other similar companies. But if this keeps up I am leaving Grove for good. I am missing an order, they've promised me refunds I have yet to see, and their new shipping service is AWFUL. So upset.

Charged for Membership I Didn't Sign Up For
I ordered from Grove Collaborative once, over four years ago. Suddenly, I saw that I was charged 29.99 for a membership I did not sign up for. I'm grateful that I check my charges frequently and noticed it. This is extremely slimy.

I have had mixed reviews with customer care
Update 06/12/25 ** What a difference a month makes. I am disappointed with the recent customer care I received from Grove. I left my previous review after my item was damaged in shipping. However, since that review the same item order was damaged a second time and returned by the shipping company, I then was able to assume it was being packaged incorrectly by Grove. Finally on the 3rd try I received my package, however I did not receive the VIP item. I contacted customer service and they stated I already used my VIP item credit, and I had to explain to 3 different associates that my delivers never made it to me and were damaged. Anyways long story short, it took me threatening to cancel my membership for someone to finally make it right. It's just disappointing to have to go to such lengths to be heard. I've been with this company for a long time and a regular shopper so it seems like I should have been treated better the first time I contacted. 5/4/25*Everyone I've ever spoken to in customer service has been super friendly. Grove has always been helpful, and during a recent contact regarding an item that was damaged in shipping, they were exceptionally kind. They replaced the item right away and even provided me with a five-dollar credit for the trouble. I have been with Grove for four years, and I appreciate the company and their commitment to reducing plastic waste. Also, It’s always nice to receive the little messages on my packages as well!
