They seem legit
They seem legit. They're powered by a software company called neogov who collaborates with city and state agencies for their hiring process. I clicked on a career link from a state government website and it redirects to governmentjobs.com

Scam
Scam. Wouldn't even let me create an account without giving permission to let them use your data however they want. When I hit the opt out option it immediately made me delete my account.

GOVERNMENT JOBS IS An imposter scam. Fake identities and fake credentials.Dirty cheaters and liars Claiming to have the best skills and no skill sets or abilities in customer service and None of them need to know anything about anyone. The frauds that don't own any place . FOR example like fake doctors with no boards.Department if motor vehicle fake identities and false trainers . Plus no record of driving trainers. No pro driving around this town. Bus driver Utilizing lead foot and no way to handle a bus. Rude and not knowledgeable about the proper usage of a vehicle . Bumping into curbs. None them should be driving period.A few examples

This is a totally fake website.i have subscribed this site about an year ago and continuously applying for a job.Few days ago i was informed and selected for an interview through email as on record to make self appointment dated 08/22/2024 on 5.00pm for interview to be held on 08/26/2024.On dated 08/22/2024 when i tried to open the given site,it was not functional.This site is only wasting the time snd energy of the public having no productive outcome.Totaly fake carrier site.avoid applying on this site.

GovernmentJobs.com is Phishing
This website/company feels like a scam; at best it is phishing. There is no contact/office/company information at all. The unsolicited email I received is a "no reply" address. The 855 phone number was picked up by automated voicemail with a message "there is no one to take your call" and immediately hung up.Totally unacceptable from any business, let alone from a web-based business.
