Poor app workflow exposes users to risks
I was surprised by Getaround’s high rating here compared to Google Reviews.I rented a Renault Trafic, much taller than 1.90m, parked in a garage with a 1.90m height limit. The app forced me to validate everything before starting, making it impossible to inspect the vehicle properly or move it slightly to check for clearance.At exit, the vehicle couldn’t pass without hitting the ceiling, resulting in significant damage. The garage attendant confirmed the vehicle was simply too tall for the space.The app’s workflow is poorly designed: information after booking is hard to access, inspection before validation is blocked, and users can’t verify vehicle safety. This exposes renters to unnecessary risks and costs.
