Washer lasted 4 months
We had this washing machine for 4 months before it exploded! There was water dripping from the ceiling, the washer was in the middle of our laundry room. This was on October 26, 2025. Today is February 25,2026. We are still fighting with GE to replace the washing machine. They sent out a technician that said it couldn’t be repaired. GE sent a replacement washer, this washer was all dented up and had paint chips in it. Why would I accept a replacement washer that was already damaged? I purchased the original washer in June of 2025, used it for 4 months, and now do not have a washer, and have been without one for 4 months. Someone at GE needs to make this make sense! Do better GE customer support!

We bought a GE CAFE dishwasher in 2021
We bought a GE CAFE dishwasher in 2021, my extended service warranty is good until February 2027. Fast forward 3 repair visits(took forever to get), my dishwasher started out with the top spray arm falling off. That was “fixed with super glue and a magnet. “ then repairs no 2 & 3, wound up being the dishes not getting cleaned at all. The. Heating element and some support clips were replaced . The technician repeatedly insulted us by saying “we told him that the dishes weren’t “getting dried”. No, I said they weren’t getting cleaned. We can’t get a return call back. I am done with GE for good, we paid way too much money for this dishwasher. Shame on you GE.

Chat Bot tried to rip me off.
I used the Chat bot who took all of my info regarding the issues with my dishwasher. At the end of the chat and transferring to an online tech, the Bot told me that I needed to pay a refundable $5 in order to speak with the technition. A payment screen popped up requesting my credit card info. I looked closer at the small print only to find that I would be charged $75 for the chat with the tech and $75 monthly thereafter until I cancel. What a scam! Bait & switch at it's best. Needless to say, I closed the screen without providing my info.

GE uses RFID (Radio-Frequency…
GE uses RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) digital rights management on their water filter to force you to buy their $55 replacement. Their fridge still doesn’t recognize it (GE Cafe refrigerator). Every single time I replace the filter, the touchscreen throws a “Replace Water Filter” error. There is no manual reset.Last time this happened I had to schedule a service call and wait 30 days. A full month without water or ice from a $4,000 refrigerator — because the fridge couldn’t read its own filter. One of the suggested “troubleshooting” steps is to unplug your fridge and power cycle it. So now you’re dragging a 300-pound appliance away from the wall, scraping up your hardwood floors, to reboot your refrigerator like a frozen Windows PC. For a water filter. This is an inexcusable design choice for a premium appliance line. The Café brand is supposed to represent the best GE has to offer, and they chose to add an electronic lock to a water filter that regularly fails to work with their own product. This is the same company that recalled 1.3 million dishwashers for catching fire and had to recall their Profile washers for components burning and baskets flying apart mid-cycle. Ironically, I’d have been better off if GE just charged me a monthly water subscription fee — at least then the water would actually come out of the fridge.Beautiful appliance that will hold your water hostage every six months. Buy literally any other brand. RADIO-FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION DIGITAL RIGHTS MANAGEMENT FOR A WATER FILTER that adds a failure point that disables your entire water system.

THIS IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS STOVE I EVER HAD
We were in a financial crunch when our stove gave up so we were looking for something we could afford at the time. We went to all the big box stores. None had a stove in stock so we ordered what we could afford at Home Depot with a week before delivery. We chose an electric GE which has been pretty big disappointment. The digital stuff on it is so-o-o annoying. I had to call "customer service" to find out how to change the temperature! Ridiculous. "Customer Service" is a joke. The burners aren't flat. We went online and found a video on how to fix them, sort of. They are still wobbly but I have managed to work around them. Ridiculous, again. I will, definitely, be getting rid of this as soon as possible. I won't even look at GE.

Poor quality and painful service experience
New dishwasher. Found out that it was manufactured with a defective heating element. Took three tries and a great deal of my time wasted to figure this out. Actually GE knew it but just didn't bother to tell the local repair guy. Biggest frustration is time wasted and running into a brick wall or perhaps circular logic in trying to talk to anyone that can actually resolve the poor service issue. Apparently the GE supervisors live in isolation where you can't get a name, phone number or email. Told they will call me back in four days. On e again I am asked to wait on them and try to be available at an unspecified time for a random phone call. GE...never again!!!!

I bought a stacked washer and dryer…
I bought a stacked washer and dryer from Home Depot that was delivered on 11/14/25. The appliance has a 1 yr warranty on it but can only be returned to Home Depot within 30 days. I started noticing problems like it not putting the correct amount of water for a cycle. Then I started to notice that it was not doing the rinse cycle. With the holidays and all I didn't do anything until after the 30 return to Home Depot. So I tried resetting the appliance 4 times. Once it worked, then went back to the same problem. One time it filled for the rinse and then immediately emptied without aggitating. So I contacted GE. They sent a repair person, he said the mother board wasn't sending the correct signals and that they would order another and replace it. Jump to 2 weeks later 02/11/26 and he finally comes back with the part and replaces it. He ran a cycle and I didn't hear the rinse and mentioned it. He said it went through the rinse, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I had company. Next day ran a load of laundry, didn't hear the rinse before it shut off. So I ran another load with no clothes and intentionally listened. I even put my phone on record/video at the start of the spin from washing. It went 17 minutes on spin and then shut off. I contacted GE again and said I want a replacement.....they denied. Will not replace or refund. Said they could only send the repair guy again. I remember when GE was a decent company. Stay away from GE products because they blatantly suck. Also, Bodewell is part of the mix as well. I am not sure if they bought GE out or what. But if people are smart they will stay away and buy a different brand.

Terrible products. Don't waste your money
Purchased a Hotpoint washer and dryer in Sept. 2025. The start button on the dryer almost immediately stopped working. It had a crack on the underside of the button that prevented it from making contact. Had to be replaced. Fast forward to Feb.2026(5 months later) the washing machine started squeaking and leaking oil all over the floor. Was referred to Bodewell to set up an appt. for warranty repair. First appt. was a no show. Talked to them directly at Bodewell. They had 2 different companies listed that you could select an appt. time with. One company was on the opposite side of the state and does not make service calls to our area and I talked to a person at the other company listed and they said they do not do any kind of warranty work. Terrible warranty repair service. The appliances are garbage and will be going to the metal recycling center. I won't ever buy another GE

Never purchase a GE Appliance
I purchases all new appliances for my new construction home, which was $15,000.00. The dishwasher almost immediately started leaking. The warranty information requires you to go through Bodewell Appliance Care Experts, and not the store you purchased from, even if they are an authorized dealer. The first company they arranged to come look at the dishwasher didn't show up after my wife, who was 36 weeks pregnant at the time, took off work and sat at home for 10 hours (the appointment time was 8am-5pm and couldn't do anything until after the 5pm deadline passed). Their response was to offer to send us paper plates and $25 for my wife's time. It's been a nightmare to reschedule. We are now on our 4th appointment, which we have had to take off work to be home for, and the dishwasher is still not fixed. The max compensation they can offer someone for this headache is $75. I will never purchase a GE Appliance again.

WORST FRIDGE EVER
I bought a GE refrigerator at Costco 5 years ago. From the start, the fridge made the worst noises- groaning almost. Costco Concierge couldn't help me get it repaired or replaced, GE didn't even bother answering me. Now the seals are not sealing properly and it's driving my electric bill up. Worst appliance I've ever had, zero customer service from GE. I recommend avoiding GE appliances.

Buy literally any other brand but GE
We built a new home last year which came with all “top of the line” GE Cafe appliances. In a nutshell, it’s garbage and the customer service is a joke. The first time we used our brand new GE gas dryer, it filled our home with gas and almost killed my entire family. I called GE and asked them to replace it with an electric dryer and they told me that they would repair the gas one but nothing more. When I told her it was a huge safety issue and I didn’t want that in my house, the service rep sent me an email with GE’s insurance info and said if any people are injured I can file a claim with them. Seriously. I was absolute shocked. I went and bought a non-GE electric dryer and through the brand new GE gas dryer in the dump. Today, just 9 months later, our fridge sprung a Freon leak and poisoned my entire family. We all got skull splitting headaches after smelling a weird smell coming from the back of the fridge. I unplugged the fridge, and opened the windows, and the smell went away. I tried desperately to get GE on the phone for over an hour to try and get a service tech out today but you have better luck hitting the Powerball. I had to use their online portal and the soonest they can send someone out is tomorrow late afternoon so it looks like we will be throwing out a fridge full of food. When I was a kid, my parents had a GE fridge that they got from my grandmother that was probably 25 years old. Impossible to kill. Today they make pure junk and back it up with laughable support. Buy any other brand but GE. Trust me. I expect we will have all new appliances within 3 years because the quality is just awful.

Cafe CDT858P2V3S1 Dishwasher
Cafe CDT858P2V3S1 Dishwasher, the dishwasher is delivered on 8th of November 2025, purchased from Tasco, the paint of bronze cafe sign is already peeling off. I was not expecting such a bad quality that too on brand logo for such an expensive brand like cafe. I called customer service they said this is cosmetic but I do not understand if the company cannot protect their logo what else we can expect. I would not recommend this product to anyone.CSR called to say that peeling paint of logo is cosmetic and they did not get complaints from other customers but that does not make sense if other customers not complained about paint issue it does mean that paint issue do not exist I shared photos how paint start peeling off in less than 3 months and performance of the dishwasher is poor too. Rack do not go inside smoothly and drying is an issue too. Instead of scheduling service call they are giving explanation that we have not heard about this issue. It’s means no quality checks on individual units. I will escalate it further as this issue not acceptable you pay premium price and do not get even proper customer service

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! BEWARE!
Purchased a GE stove (one of the more expensive models with the Air Fry etc.). The stove is less than a year old and last week it started beeping all on its own and showing error codes. Then it started just turning on by itself. On Tuesday morning this week we were woke up around 2:30 am waking us up to it beeping several times and turning on all by itself to Air Fry 400 degrees. It did this twice! We called the GE number and explained that this is definitely a fire hazard and a potential dangerous situation so we have unplugged the stove but that we didn't have a stove to cook with. The rep said they would mail us overnight $75.00 GIFT CARD towards a small air fry machine and its Friday 01-30-26 and we have not seen anything yet. The rep also said she would order the part(s) the stove would need so that it could be fixed and a service tech would come out to fix it. The parts would be mailed to us. Again 3 days have gone by and have not seen the parts so we called them back again today. And they have no idea where the parts are. They didn't know where the parts were ordered from? (What the heck)? She said they look to be ordered and they were out there somewhere? (Really)? So we have to wait for the parts to get here but no one can track them because they don't see who they ordered them from. And she didn't know anything about the $75.00 Air fry gift card either. So we have been without a stove that we paid $1,200 for and cant even use it and no one knows anything? Bad customer service here! NOT HAPPY!

Load Imbalance at Large
I have had this machine for about a year, and conclude it will not properly wring out small carpets, nor a cotton blanket (full/queen) size. There is a serious load imbalance problem with this machine, and it will jump all over the place, and far from where the machine was originally positioned. Whats worse, you can't run just spin to get the water out of the fabricm and the machine will complete its cycle instead of letting you continue where it left off in the middle of the spin. Don't buy this machine, and buy a Speed Queen instead.

Unreliable products and total indifference
Having purchased 3 major GE appliances in 2019 (less than 7 years ago), I am extremely disappointed in them. In 2023, I had to pay over $400 in dishwasher repairs and have lately received a quote of $2,432 (from GE Appliances) to repair an induction stove that I originally purchased for $2095 (!). MC Commercial Inc. (GE Canada) has shown total indifference to this. If you expect 'GE' to mean long-term reliability, look elsewhere—the modern quality does not match the premium price tag.

Extremely Disappointed with GE Café Range
This is my first GE appliance purchase, a $5,000 GE Café double oven induction range (model CCHS950P2MS1), which I was told was a high-end, premium product. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but premium.Within the first week of ownership, one of the burners failed and required a service call to replace the induction cooktop. Now, just three months later, the induction cooktop has failed again—this time with an exploding noise, tripping my home’s breakers and rendering the entire cooktop completely inoperable.I have now been without a functioning range for six days, while receiving the runaround from GE’s customer service center. Repeated calls resulted only in being told that a manager was unavailable and would call me back—something that did not happen until day five. When GE finally responded, I was told they would not replace the unit, even after two major failures within three months, and would only authorize another repair. The GE-licensed technician confirmed the cooktop was dead but did not even inspect internal components for damage. At this point, it is clear this unit is defective and unsafe. I really do not want further repairs attempted—especially since servicing requires pulling the range across hardwood floors, as well as already having resulted in damage to my granite countertop. This experience has been unacceptable from both a product quality and customer service standpoint. I will never purchase another GE appliance and strongly caution others considering GE Café products.

Beware of GE Products
I bought a GE 12,000 Window Air Conditioners through Lowe's. Model #AUFS12WWL2, SNAA123361Y. Had it a month now and it is not performing properly. Called Lowes they said I had to call GE it is under mfg. warranty and they can not do anything. My call to GE was a farce they said I would have to buy a new one and then send me a check for the old one within 6 to 8 weeks after they received the new ones invoice which means I would be out around $1,000 for 8 weeks. On top of it I would have to buy another GE which I will never do because if one wasn't good as far as I'm concerned they all are bad. And GE does not stand by their products which are mostly made in Taiwan and China. By the way we bought a GE Stove from Lowe's 4 years ago and repair man had to come out the first month and then again 4 months later said the problem with it was common and he finally got it working properly but top of burner plate is totally crooked. Shame on LOWE'S and GE start making your products in USA I will never buy anything with GE name on it and if your considering doing beware find out the return policy. And Lowes I'm finished with you.

terrible
atrocious company. better to have no appliances than anything from these guys. their products are often downright dangerous, they are built so poorly. and they won't lift a finger to make it right if they dont have to. these people act like they hate their customers. the only thing worse than their quality control is their customer service.
