scam pricing... only allows you to invite a 10 people... I paid the $18 for ads free and then at the end they say I can't send 40 invites without paying another $40... this service is terrible. will never use them again.
I'm caught in an impossible loop where the Evite website won't let me pay for more "sends" but I still have more people I need to invite. And now I've invited most of my friends to my big birthday bash and I can't invite the rest. And the worst part is that I can't get any help from Evite. They don't have a phone number, no one answers when I try to do a chat and only occasionally, if I email multiple times, do I get a reply from customer support. It's a nightmare. Evite sucks and once I figure this out, I definitely won't ever use them again and I'll tell all my friends not to use them either!
I wanted to do the free version and they sneakily added some bullcrap feature that was $20. Not worth it at all and of course no refunds.
Designed my invite, spent 4+ hours compiling a guest list, I paid for my order, clicked on process and send - then screen went blank. Never sent my evites. Asked for help via email - told me to do what I already did, seemed like a bot response. Emailed again - no response. Phone tells you to email. No humans involved! I may have lost $100 and nothing sent out. Very dissatisfied and disappointed! I should have used Greenenvelope!
Baits you with a good and easy idea with no mention off cost. I spent a ton of time creating an epic invite then manually entering all the guests contact info. Then they hit you with $68 to send 75 text invites. I could understand maybe $10 but 68. Big waste of time.
Evite is one of the most horrible app! I have moved away from it as it’s buggy and frustrating!
It was just terrible and way overpriced.
For as long as they have been around, the user interface should be smooth and highly intuitive. It is NOT. I woefully regret purchasing a package and will never again do so. Their sign up sheet should be fully integrated and it seems like a bunch of work arounds rather than a seamless carefree experience. I DO NOT recommend it at all. Email and googledocs or trello is MUCH better.
The only thing tolerable about Evite is that it has a free version. I have never seen a more poorly implemented product.
Evite is a good idea with poor execution. The delivery system is completely unreliable. We were sending updates to our event that our guests were not getting. We ended up manually sending a text to each person. A royal waste of time
They are such scammers. They tell you that their pledge does not take any percentage of your donation but they end up taking money and they hold onto donations made to your fund until the following month. Like why cant they be transparent. My friends would not have donated using their site if they knew that their funds would not get to me in full.
Evite doesn't validate the event address. Our hosts put "Fred and Jane's Garden" before the street address, Evite didn't check it, and "Add to calendar" generates bogus addresses.
Platform offers little in ability to design invitation. NO CHAT/LIVE customer service available. Response time from customer service horrible. Half the people on my list said they did not receive the invitation. Find another platform.
My wife and I used Evite last year for a family wedding and paid for the subscription, but did not realize that they automatically setup the subscription as "Auto Renew". I saw a charge for $249.99 on my credit card in July and I am trying to contact customer support as the charge hit my credit card on 6/23/2025. There is no response from them and their FAQ's states that the charges are non-refundable.I know its a mistake on my part, but this is still very bad business practice as I have not used EVITE since last October to create any new invites.07/09/2025Changed to 4 as the support team responded and gave me full credit for the automatic renewal 249.99.
HORRIBLE. I PAYED 36.00 TWO TIMES TO ADD MORE GUESTS. OVER HALF OF MY GUESTS TOLD ME THEY NEVER RECIEVED THE EVITE. I GO TO TRY TO ASK FOR SOME TYPE OF COMPENSATION AND OF COURSE NO REFUNDS. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY.
I honestly don't know how this company is still in business. The UX experience is terrible. It lacks intuition and is glitchy when you try to move around elements. It wouldn't let me make edits to an invite so I ended up having to start over and recreate a new invite THREE TIMES! It didn't save the guest list. It makes you update the same information in multiple places so it's easy to make mistakes. I'm honestly shocked at how bad this website is. I guess they hire coders who are doing practice in a high school course because the engineers who designed this website should be embarrassed.
Without question THE WORST app/website and service EVER. DO NOT USE. No support, no customer service, no chat available, if chat is available it takes 10 mins for someone to connect, no one answers your email questions. NOT AT ALL USER FRIENDLY. Functions that they say exist, don't. I'm so sorry I used them. Truly, honestly, absolutely AWFUL!!!!
real shitty, unfair guiding with costs only at the end, complicated, additional functions don't really work and are strange to access, expensive for the miserable service
The interface is shitty and extremely hard to use. I can't believe that it's so bad. The only reason that Evite still exist is that they were here first so they have the brand name. No website in recent memory was as frustrating to use!
Stay away from these scammers! I created my invitation but it gives error when my guests try to open it. I sent tens of emails but they don’t even reply back. They don’t care after they receive your money! No customer service at all! I asked a refund but again no reply nothing! My money has gone to garbage! So does my time! Stay away from them if you don’t want to waste your money.
