Terrible, moody unsociable air stewardess, lacks safety, food terrible

We were on flight VS4030 DL3 JFK to London Heathrow 2200 26/02/2026, seats 45. No welcome on board, no safety checks including seat belts. A baby was being handed over headrests when the plane was taking off near an air stewardess. We had a very stressed, stewardess who was Asian in appearance who I must say seemed to hate her job. She wasn't friendly, she was telling you. My partner pushed the button for water on 3 times as it kept being switched off, saving grace Glen. We had Rabi's in front of us and Glen showed kindness and respect, unlike the stewardess who was getting louder by the minute as they weren't adhering to her instructions to sit down. The food was inedible, disgusting to be honest. We flew Virgin out and the sister carrier Delta did not have the same professionalism, service and meals like Virgin. The seat were good and comfortable. Blankets were tatty, my partners pillow had two yellow stains on it- disgusting. You couldn't hear the pilots and there wasn't a welcome. We thought zone loading of the plane was a good idea, until put into practice, ridiculous. The chap when boarding deserves a shout out, he called me by my name, at the boarding desk. I am very disappointed in Delta Airlines, I compare them to Ryanair but long haul. Won't be flying with Delta in the near future......

My flight from the uK to Canada with…

My flight from the uK to Canada with Westjet on Saturday Feb 7 was cancelled, i was finally booked on a Delta flight from London Heathrow to Atlanta and then to Calgary. The Delta staff at London were awesome, helpful and knowledgeable, the flight was great, the attendants were very good, the food was good, overall a great experience and they finally got me home, big thanks.

There is nothing more painful than…

There is nothing more painful than trying to get help from Delta regardless of the level of help you require. Any loyalty or spend below the highest medallion tier doesn't matter to them and I wasted years climbing it. If you want to see a perfect picture of what an airline who continues to offer less for more money because we continue to allow it looks and feels like, just go through the process of acting as if you're going to book a flight on their website and you'll understand exactly what this means.

Can you have a 0.5 rating or maybe a 1 on a hundred scale. Sadly if you live in atlanta often you don’t have a choice. The worst airline. Anyone who lives in an American or United hub and complains should not. I have done both and there is nothing as horrible as delta. Their flight attendants are almost all entitled. Their fares are outrageous. Same flight code-shared is always cheaper if booked through the partner. They arrive 15 mins early but we sit on the ground for 30 mins for a gate in a terminal they control - late at night when there have to be at least 30 other empty gates. Delta stop believing your own fake marketing.

Rude and I am upgraded to first class…

Rude and I am upgraded to first class couple of times but I wish stayed in the back the service person stayed in his bunker possibly eating and drinking and no one available to ask for any services 35 minutes when he showed her face second time

DTW TO MIA and return from MIA to DTW

Excellent experience DTW to MIA and MIA to DTW. My check bag was not put on the MIA to DTW flight so I was not able to collect it at the carousel. Talked with an agent at the desk who helped locate my bag. They expedited the return of my bag to DTW and then to LAN and delivered it by courier to my home all within 24 hours. I am very grateful for the extra steps taken to get my bag to me, as it contained medical equipment that I use daily.

Miserable, disinterested cabin crew

A transatlantic flight with Delta (booked through Virgin Atlantic as a code share partner) between Boston and Heathrow (DL58, for anyone who is interested).2 hours late leaving due to de-icing (ours was a 1915hrs departure and yet the 2000hrs Virgin Atlantic departure to the same airport at the next gate was de-iced and left in front, work that one out!!!) They Captain explained what was happening and kept quoting 'around 20 minutes'. I'm not sure what a 'Delta minute' is but it sure as hell isn't the same as a normal human minute!!!Anyhow, this was poor form but these things happen. The onboard service however was awful, the cabin crew were 'mature' so I'm guessing they are all long standing crew who have become lazy and plump for the shorter transatlantic route for an easy life, and view passengers as a cross between a nuisance and something that they have stepped in. The only flight attendant that wasn't 'mature' was even worse however, bordering on passive aggressive!This was my first time on a US carrier and I had looked forward to it. What a let down. I may well try American Airlines or United, but these staff have blown it for Delta for me.

Heartbreaking Loss Due to Delta’s Mishandling of Live Animals

I trusted Delta to safely transport two of my baby birds as live cargo. Instead, they lost the shipment. Because of their mishandling and negligence, one of my birds died. The other survived but now has lasting health complications and will require ongoing care.This has cost me over $5,000 in veterinary bills and related expenses so far, not including the long-term medical costs I now face. Beyond the financial damage, the emotional impact of losing an animal this way is devastating.What makes this even worse is the lack of accountability. Delta has avoided responsibility and is no longer responding to my attempts to resolve this. When you ship live animals, you are responsible for their safety. In this case, that responsibility was completely ignored.If you are considering trusting Delta with live animal transport, think very carefully. My experience has been heartbreaking, expensive, and met with silence.

upgraded flight cancelled

Delta cancelled a flight I had just paid a change fee for a family situation. since they cancelled my flight and i am taking my original flight now, the $261 fee I paid for flight I can not take since delta cancelled the flight. After an hour on chat, a credit to my credit card will happen after the completion of my flight. I shouldn’t have to fight for something that was just reasonable request.

CRAPPY WEBSITE, APP AND CUSTOMER SERVICE - GOODBYE DELTA

Website and App frequently lock us out and are non-user friendly trying to reset password - don't recognize new passwords or state "unable to log you in".No links or tel #'s for tech support AND good luck trying to get through to their customer service representatives in under an hour of phone hold or almost equally as long on their chats, which keep kicking you out because their representatives take so long to respond.Longtime Platinum Amex Skymiles members - going to cancel our cards - horrible customer service, useless Skymiles, unworkable companion tickets, high annual fee. Get Lost!

flight cancelled, was told no limit on hotel expense, but only got partial refund.

Our flight out of St,Thomas was cancelled. The staff at the airport repetitively inform us that our hotel expense will be re-imbursed. If we don't like the hotel they assigned to us, we can choose one we like and they will re-imburse us. Many of us asked the staffs if there is a budget restriction, different staff confirmed again and again there is no limit. We decided to book a hotel within reasonable price range (as the matter of fact, later on we found some of the passengers were assigned to that same hotel that night). After we submitted the reimbursement request, they told us they can only approve partial of the expense. I wrote to them, a supervisor named Jada Herring sent me an email and called me ask me to resubmit the request, I did, got denied again.

Delayed flights. Smashed case. No refund. Rude staff.

I fly very often and I used to have a reasonable opinion of Delta, but something must have changed as are now the worst airline I have ever dealt with. I had a 4 flights booked through Virgin over the Christmas period and the flights operated by Delta had non-stop issues. I am a very understanding customer, but their staff were rude throughout and very unhelpful. I would have just put it down as bad luck, but they smashed my case on my first flight home so badly that my clothes were falling out. The only help they gave me was tape, to seal up my case to stop my belongings falling out of my case on the connecting flight. I then put a claim in for my case, and with a default response that had no relevance to my incident, they denied my claim. I responded with picture evidence and valid reasoning and they denied my rebuttle without even discussing my situation. I understand that with flights there are many issues that the airlines can't control, but their handling of the whole process was unbelievable.In summary of the 2 flights operated by Delta:-2 flights delayed-Unmanned customer service desk with a QR code in a photo frame-Couldnt locate my case for 2 hours on outbound flight-Destroyed my case and offered me tape to seal it to get my belongings home-Denied my claim for my case without explanationI will never fly Delta again.I suggest you don't either.

Customer Service and Dynamic Pricing

Communicated with Jay in customer service over dynamic pricing. In the time that it took Amex points to transfer for an upgrade, Delta increased prices twice. Still seeing that I transferred points twice, Jay refused to honor either fair, or offer any points for the inconvenience.

Absolutely disgusted with delta

Absolutely disgusted with delta. Flight from Tokyo was supposed to be direct to Atlanta. They diverted us to Seattle and announced it 2 hours before departure. At first it was due to crew. Then the flight crew said it was actually due to freight. So yeah delta chose extra freight weight and had to drop fuel and divert to refuel. Then we were delayed over an hour while sat on the plane while they loaded said freight. When we get to Seattle we were told a quick 30min turn around and had to stay on the plane. Over an hour later still sat on the plane saying they are struggling to fill the crew to get us to Atlanta. Cause international long hauls are just so much fun. Well done delta. This was BS from the start you chose profit over customer service and satisfaction and it is disgusting

Cruel staff

No no no. My connection was super tight and I bolted off the plane running leaving my purse behind. When I got to my new gate I realized. I informed the ticket agent and asked if I could run back as she called and found it. There was still 15 min left till departure. They refused. My purse was then brought to me but they had JUST locked the doors going down to the plane. They refused me boarding so I had to stay a night and leave the next day. One employee showed compassion. The rest were mean and didn’t care. They did absolutely nothing to help. I was crying and begged them to open the door while I watched my plane leave. I will avoid this airline at ALL costs. Looking at their reviews they clearly are behind the ball.

I canceled a flight that was supposed…

I canceled a flight that was supposed to be fully refundable. They wouldn't give my money back. They gave me a credit to be used by August 2026. I was advised that I had to call Delta to use the credit. I have called 8 times without anyone calling back after claiming that they would. I had an option today to have my call returned without losing my place in line. The wait time was estimated at 52 minutes. After 4 hours they still haven't called. This is the 3rd time I have used this option. The other times I have called the phone was disconnected. Delta has canceled the flights into the location that I had a ticket to. Unless I go somewhere else that Delta flies the ticket is basically worthless. This is how Delta is making money by canceling flights and not making any other flights to the same location available.

Flight 1609 seats 2A and 2B

My husband and I were on flight 1609, Minneapolis to St. Louis on February 11th. Our flight attendant was Ian. Ian was the best flight attendant I have ever encountered. Very attentive and friendly. Thank you Ian for being such a great Delta employee. I hope to encounter others as dedicated as you.

If I could give them a zero I would..

If I could give them a zero I would... Flight was delayed 4 times due to mechanical issues. Then, they had us leaving 5 hours later...finally left and stuck on the tarmac, sat there for forty five minutes and then were brought back to the gate! Total in competence and poor communication.

This was the worst airline experience…

This was the worst airline experience ever. I brought my friend to Utah we made it through security and he had his boarding pass on phone and paper. Once we got to the gate they said we didn’t have the ticket even though we clearly had the boarding pass. Which makes no sense how we got through security if he “didn’t have a ticket” then we proceeded to pass 900$ for the round trip instead of the original 500$ worst airline experience ever not my first time they said we didn’t have our ticket same happened 2 months ago with my brother and we had to pay more money for another ticket.

Delta bully tactics

Delayed flight ( 4 hours ) due to technical issues, alternative flight not an option. Delta response is full refund and good luck. I had connecting flight in Atlanta. Had to make my own arrangements told I would get reimbursed for hotels etc . Claimed and told NO , Contacted customer service. Told tough , they will do nothing and their agent made a mistake ( although in writing) about advice given . As a diamond member i am astounded by delta stance. No concern whatsoever for it’s customer and the inconvenience caused.
