Beware of Lindsay Honda Columbus Ohio

I am an older senior in my 80s, and I purchased a 22K‑mile 2019 Chevrolet Equinox Premier AWD from Lindsay Honda as an out‑of‑state buyer. I paid their full advertised price with no haggling, trusting the vehicle matched the condition they represented online.I relied on their advertisement, FaceTime walk‑around, and their claim in the advertisement that they invest an average of $1,800 refurbishing their higher‑end used cars. After flying there from Florida and driving the vehicle home, I discovered numerous issues that clearly existed before the sale and were never disclosed. These included electrical problems with navigation, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and USB charging; missing advertised items such as the Trailer Hitch Close‑Out Cover and hardware; and a Keyless Entry Keypad that could not be used because the required factory master code was not provided. The vehicle was also delivered with Arroyo Grand Sport tires (the $85 Walmart‑type) on the front and very good quality OEM Hankook Kinergy GT tires on the rear. These two brands have different construction, quality levels, and published diameters, which do not meet AWD tire‑matching requirements and should never be installed together.Contrary to their claim in the advertisement, the condition of the vehicle I received did not reflect the level of inspection or refurbishing they said was performed on their higher‑end used cars — especially disappointing after paying top dollar with no negotiation. To bring the vehicle up to the condition it was advertised in, I had to spend $1,227.34 out of pocket. I contacted the dealership with full documentation but received no response.I am sharing my experience so other seniors and out‑of‑state buyers can be aware and verify the true condition of a vehicle before purchasing.

Without customer authorization

Thank you for listening .Thank you for taking the time to share our feedback with others. We are truly sorry to hear about our own recent experience at Mungenast Lexus of StLouis dealership. Providing exceptional customer service is our top priority, and it’s clear we fall short during our visit with Mungenast Lexus of StLouis We understand how frustrating it can be when expectations are not met, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by our Lexus of Roseville Ca process that we learned Lexus stand by their brand even as Marine in Japan. Our intentions is always to find the best possible options within our knowledge regarding Lexus dealerships Master Lexus Certified technicians and top Directors like Mr. Brandon Huber capabilities, we regret we did not achieve this with Mungenast Lexus of StLouis. We addressed Mr. Forgerty Mungenast Lexus of StLouis dealerships top level Directors concerns with the supervisor Lexus Headquarters and the team to ensure we improve our approach and better meet the needs of Mungenast Lexus of StLouis dealership not the needs of Lexus in the future. We would like the opportunity to make things right. (Vin#JTHBW1GG7E2044832) so we can discuss how we might better assist Mungenast Lexus of StLouis and having reliable, safely, and trustworthy Lexus Brand to drive 3,000 miles back to Roseville California. Thank you again for allowing our feedback, and we hope to have the chance to be provided our initial specific performance vehicle along with a pleasant positive experience as a Lexus Family to a Mungenast Family. We have all maintenance up to date . Mungenast Lexus of StLouis Manchester Mo had the vehicle 04/2025 its 2026. We have a scheduled appointment with Mungenast Lexus of StLouis. Mr. Forgerty has mobile phone number. Mr. Ray Mungenast. Thanks for your time Mr. Ray Mungenast.2014 300h ES L/Certified Lexus Hybrid 40,102 original miles without customer authorization Mungenast Lexus of StLouis Manchester Mo We have no other explanation, Director Mr. Brandon Huber in order for L/certified Hybrid to be removed only Master Lexus Certified Technician swapped the battery for a 2015 unit (Serial 2345P53303013A150176), Now this here battery is small battery behind the back sent entry from the trunk. The Roseville of Lexus battery had an extremely HUGE Battery (NiMH)traction battery according to the manufacturer manual that was certified with in service date 2013. L/certified 2016 and the car is 13 years old. But do you comprehend when Mr. Brandon Huber states only a Master Lexus Certified Technician remove this (NiMH) a huge battery the same length and width as the rear seat entry from trunk. In the beginning Mungenast Lexus of StLouis hand delivered the customer a paper Mungenast Lexus of StLouis Multiple point inspection sheet. Red flag 🚩 Now if it’s something wrong we tell you you routinely get scheduled maintenance done. So now request it. We are still requesting Mungenast Lexus StLouis Multiple Point sheet Mr. Brandon Huber from the email within this message that Mr. Huber has. Mr. Brandon Huber understand when as he stated Master Lexus Certified Technician only could perform this vehicle because the vehicle seats would have to be moved and they are . There still not flush with the base of the vehicle.(rear passenger seats) some orange major looking long and orange when we say this foreign it’s foreign. Now some cloth or fabric coming through seats never seen that during Roseville of Lexus L/Certified. Before the car sound low after warmed up. Now Mr. Brandon Huber knows this is dangerously high on the risk assessment. And when Mr. Forgerty states bring the car into the shop that night before via phone call we ask Mr. Forgerty, who would be responsible for the vehicle upon arrival the next ddy to Mungenast Lexus of StLouis at least 30 minutes one way for travel weather extremely dangerous and very very dangerous presently Mr. Forgerty is excited and tell the customer the tow truck driver knows exactly what to do. Does Ted the President of Toyota know this, as customer’s Mungenast Lexus StLouis is killing kiddos at extreme uncertain risk conditions swapping unknown batteries in customers vehicles. Base on Director Mr. B. Huber Master Lexus Certified Technician are the only ones. So Vin# JTHBW1GG7E2044832 where hybrid battery not 12volts

Horrible customer service (or lack there of). I listed my car on their site and within 10 minutes I was not able to sign back in due to the site “not recognizing” my credentials so I kept requesting a pw reset via the “forgot password” on their site which I never got an email for. I then emailed customer service for a MONTH requesting help with this issue and not one person bothered to get back to me.

Very picky to what you can write

Very picky to what you can write, as I left a honest review of a terrible experince in leasing a new car, but it was first censored then taken down, Other review sites had zero problems with it, :This a true but difficult rating for Bella Nissan in Pittsfield. I sensed a bad omen when Damian pretended not to know about the Nissan lease sales ads that are plastered all over Bella's website. It was a horror story that Damian didn't honor the lease price for a 2025 Altima. The first car I was taken to, looked at, drove around the lot was very nice, not a Nissan Altima, but a dream car I was ready to sign a lease. However, bait and switch Damian kept asking for more cash. Sign this and sign that. I clearly overpaid. I don't care. I no longer have a 16 year old rusted out Rogue that my enemies would leave notes on, would lose parts underneath the body as I was driving it. I have a new 2025 Nissan Altima. My old car finally exorcised out of my possession. Yup, the 2010 Rogue stalled often as if it had a mind of it's own. It was near it's demise and I had spent enough on it for repairs and reached my limit.Ok, so the long wait time episodes was suppose to wear me down. Damian was not focused with my transaction. Foreboding doom as what will Damian lie about next?Fuzzy math on how much my trade in was worth to them. I do not care. I have a new car. I no longer have to deal with that evil money pit.I did most of the leg work , not Damian or the heavy set lady in the showroom corner office. What exactly is dealer prep and documents fees? Really disappointed on that. I did Damian's prep. I did the lady in the corner office document retrievel. The corner office lady more concerned with her lunch order. Italian Sub with Mayo! (yuk).I did the work, I got the car inspected, I returned the old plates, I obtained the DMV excise tax information.Damian lied about "waiting for my insurance company to send him blah,blah,blah..." After 4 days and seems like 666 minutes I verified that Damian did NOT contact my insurance company. It took me all of 45 MINUTES to get the forms and have them sent to Damian's manager. If I did not do Damian's job, I would still be waiting for my new car. The heavy set lady in the corner office said she has now to work with "stupid" title. Really? How rude. It's a horror story that stays with you. It's a showroom that doubles as some kid's nursery and playpen. There was zero prep. work done by Bella. Heck, even the clock wasn't adjusted and the windshield wash reservoir was bone dry. Good Riddance to the 2010 Rogue. I have a new car.

They are Not on the Buyer's/ Customer's Side- Beware

Wrote a honest and important review on the terrible exp. my wife and I had just recently with buying a car at Crest Cadillac in Brookfield, Wi. We submitted it to Cars.com several weeks ago and they never contacted us back nor posted it! It appears they are just for sales and the car dealership's position and not on the side of the customer or buyer. Be aware

It literally says on their page

It literally says on their page: At Cars.com, we believe that transparency and integrity are important. To my opinion removing the interactive payment calculator and replacing it with static estimates and financing adds makes the site less useful for serious buyers, This change benefits lead generation not consumers. Transparency should mean better tools not fewer. Very disappointing downgrade of the platform.

Trying to sell car as a private party. Lots of inquiries but people are either not credible or total fakes. We actually arranged to meet to show the car but the person was a no show. Miserable experience.

Company on low budget

Company on low budget. Customer service is junk. They can not even clearly post the rules that they have for private sellers. They can ban you without any explanation and notifications that your are blocked. You just can not login anymore. Customer service is like left eye doesn't know what the right eye doing. GARBAGE

Saved searches are useless.

One creates a saved search to receive emails on cars within their chosen parameters. All emails contain cars waaaayyyyyy outside your search parameters. If I wanted those cars, I'd have included them in the parameters.Just too annoying to deal with

Don't allow consumers to list their cars?

Their website offers the feature to list your car for sale. I went through the process of creating the listing, but then i found out days later, when I tried to log back in, that my account had been removed and blocked without any notice. I notice a lot of cars on their site are only from dealers, so perhaps they only provide dealers to list, but why give consumers the option to list then?

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! IT WASTED MINE! They don't even post the right picture of the right vehicle. There's absolutely nowhere to leave a note. I have a 100,000 mile transferable warranty. It would be nice to SHARE THAT! That is vehicle information. They ask you to pick out the 'style' of vehicle and there's six different styles. Trying to tell me there's 6 different styles of the 2023 toyota corolla xse hatchback. SUPER UPSET. I'LL MAKE SURE I TELL 2 PEOPLE SO THEY CAN TELL 4, AND THEY CAN TELL 8, YOU GET WHERE I'M GOING.

Instant Offer Bait and Switch

I recently received an “Instant Offer” for my vehicle through Cars.com from a dealership roughly 90 minutes away. The offer was well below private party value but was better than some other instant offers I received from other websites so I contacted the dealer and was told the process was very simple and quick. I decided to make the trip against my better judgment and ultimately it was a complete bait and switch. The dealership lowered my offer nearly 45%. While they cited a few minor wear and tear items, the main reason was that the dealership contacted wholesalers to purchase the car and those wholesalers would not be willing to pay them the instant offer amount. So why waste people’s time with a fake instant offer if the process is based on what a wholesaler will pay? Please save yourself time and frustration and avoid Cars.com.

I only trust cars.com

I love cars.com! This is the second time I’ve been able to find a preowned certified car with less than 20,000 miles!! This time I was able to find my first luxury car!!Cars.com has always made it super easy, super efficient, and I’ve been able to work with top dealerships.

Instant cash offer is fraudulent advertising

Used instant cash offer. They claimed they would buy my car for $8900. Then post dealer inspection, they offered $6100. $2300 of the $2800 they “knocked off” of their offer was for extremely minor cosmetic defects, ON A 2008 VEHICLE. Give me a break. Consequently id argue they employ false advertising: color is silver and not black? Deduct $150. Almost imperceptible scratch on hood? Deduct $500.Furthermore, 0 room for negotiation. I told the dealership (Acura Irvine, also worth avoiding) that they wasted my time. They said they have no control over pricing. Right.Amazed these guys haven’t been sued out of business yet
