Premium prices combined with terrible support on warranty

Bang & Olufsen positions itself as the premium brand for audio, obviously from a pricing as well as a brand perspective.Unfortunately, once a sale has been concluded, their premium apparently ends at that according to my experience.I bought Beoplay H100 (their premium, flagship over-ear headphones). Right from the start, the headphones had a weird feeling to it and I tried to live it out for a while (thinking they possibly have to adapt to my physics or something similar). After about a month, I could not bear wearing the headphones anymore due to the ever present asymmetry on my unit starting to cause even physical pain. I tried another unit of the same headphones eventually and could even verify this was unique to my unit, so I contacted support.Support responded swiftly at first with standard procedures and text block responses and asked me several times for the exact same information, apparently not even reading my messages at all. The warranty procedure involves sending brand new headphones of less then a month of age in and taking 10 business days from receiving them to diagnose. This essentially means that you are out of your (less then a month old!) product for at least 3 weeks without replacement or anything in hand. Also, B&O uses the cheapest possible delivery service from DHL Express (Economy, around 4 day delivery estimate) for those things, while advertising premium shipping for buying their products. That does not add up.The shipping instructions on their return is also more then unclear and leaves out several important details (i.e., drop off locations, DHL does not operate customer facilities in most of Austria), that are still not cleared up.After their first standard responses, support is ignoring messages for days and has not replied back at all.For non-premium offerings, this may to be an expected support experience, even though it is already quite bad. For a premium offering such as B&O that positions itself so, this is completely unacceptable.I can only recommend you stay away from their products until B&Os support processes are up to standard and their QC does not require you to diagnose issues yourself. Products may be defective at times and things happen, but if they are, you can reasonably expect adequate support. This is not what you get from B&O by a mile.

Bang And Olufsen Eleven earbuds poor product

Bang And Olufsen have replaced my Eleven ear buds twice so I am on my third pair since Nov 2025.They have all had issues with wireless charging, signal drop out and don’t get me started on the app it is best described as flakey.I must admit though the sound quality when they do work is excellent

Nice sound WHEN IT WORKS.

Level Speakers look great sound great. WHEN THEY WORK. Everything went smoothly when I first took them out of the box. Had one glitch a couple weeks after setting them up. But a couple days ago everything got messaged up. Stereo pair will not work. App is glitchy as half the time it won’t list the settings. When it does shows both speakers but only 1 willPlay. Half the time it won’t connect to the other speaker. Reset a dozen times deleted the app deleted the speakers reset again etc etc etc. I bought these because I was fed up with Sonos and their Cr appy app and connection issues only now I’m dealing with the same issues except it cost twice as much. If B&O reads this I was looking into dropping some serious bucks on a new speaker set TV and all. FORGET IT. If you think I’m going to drop 30-40,000 and deal with this it’s NOT HAPPENING.

Excellent experience from start to finish

Excellent experience from start to finish. Good notifications on tracking and my speaker arrived in really good protective packaging. Will buy again from this site.

Mixed Opinions

I have very mixed feelings with Bang & Olufsen, I own 5 products. All sound great when working. The wifi set-ups are cumbersome to maintain, and (at least with my A5s) often drop connections. Customer support offers no assistance of value. I am a beta tester and it is like taking an exam to apply to test a product. After taking the time, not once has the company even responded. For the price, could be better. That said, I put up with the frustrations for sound. I even got chastised once for not using their preferred response website, even when my email noted the website ap did not work.

Bought the beo100 headset recently

Bought the beo100 headset recently, very good sound. The app is very limited and disappointing with limited functionality. Build quality superior aluminium & leather used to manufacture. I am still very much learning about this product. The sounds are unbeatable. Andy whom was my aid at B&O was very knowledgable. Hopefully should the need be required the support will be in place. Another benefit of purchasing the headset is they came with a 5 year warranty, what other company has this in place. Question, Would I recommend, most definitely. Please address the app issue. As an idea, May benefit others if on the very nice bag that accompanies the headset, would have a shoulder strap!

Review (English Version)I purchased headphones at Bang & Olufsen Amsterdam (Van Baerlestraat 116) and asked for a tax-free refund since I am a non-EU resident. The salesperson instructed me to get the tax-free form stamped at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport customs, then send photos and documents via WhatsApp to the number they provided, so I could receive the refund.At Schiphol airport, I was informed that customs no longer stamp tax-free forms manually, and only the shop can register the purchase in the tax-free system. Unfortunately, the store did not register it in the system, so the refund could not be processed.We lost time, stood in long queues, and ultimately missed getting our tax-free refund on a €600 purchase — approximately 12–15 % of the VAT, simply due to poor service.We tried to contact the phone number listed everywhere online (including the official website), called and sent messages via WhatsApp, but no one responded. It has been several days since the trip, including one full working day, and still no reply, no support, no follow-up from the store.For a luxury electronics brand like Bang & Olufsen, this level of customer service — no response, no support, no tax-free processing help — is very disappointing and unacceptable.I hope the company will improve its communication and tax-free support for international customers.I contacted your customer support via WhatsApp, but to this day I have not received any response.In addition, I sent an email with a formal request regarding compensation for the lost Tax-Free refund. More than two days have passed, and I still have not received any reply or acknowledgment.I also followed the link provided by your team, however, this did not lead to any resolution or further communication.Bang & Olufsen has still not contacted me in any way. Unfortunately, this situation clearly demonstrates a very low level of customer service and lack of proper support for clients.I kindly request a prompt response and a clear explanation on how this issue will be resolved.

Twice in 2 months did B & O screw up my…

Twice in 2 months did B & O screw up my order for a "Reloved" turntable. TWICE! They seem to have no internal quality control, no control of warehouse status, etc. Truly pathetic😡I am fuming. Truth be told that the B & O rep that reached out to me this last time, did provide a solution, but my gripe is that these issues shouldn't have occured in the first place. I am done with B & O. Account deleted and I will be taking my business elsewhere. I would advise others to do the same.

High price, but true long-term quality.

Bang & Olufsen is certainly not a budget brand – the price is high, no question.In return, you get true high-end quality: excellent, clean sound, very high build quality and products that are reliable and durable over many years.For me, B&O products are not short-term purchases, but conscious investments in long-lasting technology with outstanding sound.

BeoSound level is a fantastic product…

BeoSound level is a fantastic product regarding materials and sound, but the software is horrendous.Have had nothing but problems with the unit and in the first year or two I had to reset the unit multiple times - typically every 3-4 months because it completely frooze. Newer SW updates has improved a bit, but now I can't connect using Bluetooth and I can't even set the unit in BT pairing mode.It is such a shame that B&O has not been able to hire skilled software developers and testers that know their trade.Had the software been made by skilled developers and testers this would have been a world class product.

Premium product until something goes wrong then you are ignored for months and B&O does not own up to its mistakes

I paid €1,500 for Bang & Olufsen H100 headphones. The product itself is excellent. What followed was not.After a clear hardware defect, I went through several warranty returns over months. One unit was sent back to me the same day it was received, completely unfixed. Another repair got stuck in the US for weeks. Eventually, Bang & Olufsen approved a replacement.That replacement is where things collapsed.Because of an error in customs paperwork prepared by Bang & Olufsen or their logistics partner, I was charged around €350 by UPS to receive it. Bang & Olufsen acknowledged this was their mistake and explicitly told me I should not have paid the charge.They promised a refund and asked for my bank details. Then they confirmed they would handle it with UPS. That was months ago.Since then, customer service has stopped responding entirely. No refund. No update. No explanation. Just silence.If something goes wrong, be prepared to chase endlessly. This is a premium product backed by after sales support that does not take responsibility when it makes a mistake.This experience completely destroyed my trust in the brand.UPDATERefund received after public escalation.

Poor customer support.

I recently opened my new B&O headphones and was looking forward to using them but the charging lead supplied is incorrect. Should have been a micro usb but supplied was a usb C. I spoke to three different branches, Harrods, New Bond Street and Selfridges and they all said that they cannot help me as they don't have that lead. I cannot get through to Bicester B&O and B&O head office advised as they only manufacture products and have zero to do with shops or customer support/service they cannot help me. So I have a product with the wrong changing lead supplied in the box and I cannot use that product and nobody wants to help me resolve this issue. I only bought this headphones in November 2025. If you are going to buy products from any retailer make sure they have a customer service department that can help and in future I will be giving B&O a wide berth and I suggest you do the same.

I own or have owned many Bang and…

I own or have owned many Bang and Olufsen products. I have previously received excellent service from them. The Worst product I have ever owned is the quite useless Level. Bluetooth constantly drops out on various devices, sometimes doesn't have sound...again on various devices, which means it's the speaker. Tried to get this rectified by B&O, who have me hints from the instruction manual (like I wouldn't have tried this already). No interest in fixing their overpriced, faulty product.

Be warned

Be warned! Bang and Olufsen have a terrible reputation for taking advantage of elderly customers by selling them extremely expensive tv and sound packages that they don't need. Clearly on commission and will do anything it takes to make an expensive sale.

Do not buy a speaker directly from B&O

Do not buy a speaker directly from B&O. Their support is atrocious. I received a speaker that did not work right out of the box. After hours on the support line, endless re-sending of the purchase confirmation, the best solution offered was to have me send it to a 3rd party repair facility. B&O requested a ticket number without providing contact details (see below)…typical of my experience with the company.
