Poor Customer Service
I stopped in today for a smoothie and stood waiting for almost 10 minutes while the staff focused exclusively on online orders. They clearly saw me standing there — eye contact was made — but not a single person said a word to me. No "we'll be right with you," no acknowledgment whatsoever.Then two customers walked in after me and were immediately helped while I continued to stand there invisible. When I finally spoke up to let them know I'd been waiting, I was told I needed to go to the register to order. Interesting, because I've been to this location before and was never told that, and other Tropical Smoothie locations have taken my order right at the counter without issue.What should have happened here is simple: tell the customers who came in after me that I was next, take my order, and apologize for the wait. Instead, I was ignored, skipped, and then made to feel like the inconvenience. Basic customer service shouldn't be this hard. I won't be back to this location.

Oh, the management! But I do love the Chia Banana Boost.
I ordered a PB/Banana Nut Crunch (substituted Nutella) and a Chia Banana Boost through the app. The app has issues if its own (you can't ask for things on the side or customize some easy things), but the biggest issue TODAY was that the bananas on the sandwich were obviously VERY green and they were cut into squares (you know how firm they were when you can dice a banana) with the consistency and taste of Banana peel. In other words, even Nutella could not redeem the taste.I have been in that store before (Moore town Rd.) and politely told some of the young employees that green bananas are not ripe, as well as explained how to help them ripen more quickly in the future (for someone else's orders). Apparently, nobody listened.Similarly to the last time there was an issue with receiving an order from this store via Door Dash, I was told that there was no manager on hand when I called. I was told to call back later. Last time, I had to try on multiple days. This time the gentleman took my number and said he'd call me back today, which was an improvement from last time I had an issue (last time Door Dash delivered the order to the wrong location--it wasn't TSs problem, but a refund was needed and...no manager available).Many employees there are very kind and friendly, but I am not pleased with the management or the product at least half of the time (the sandwiches are burnt at times, but I have a limited menu I can choose from when eating out, or in, for that matter). How difficult is it to hang a sign by the Door Dash pick up spot that says "Don't forget straws and napkins... Thank you!!" or to be present at work sometimes (instead of the store being run by just two 20ish and unders)?Anyhow, green bananas are not at all tasty. The smoothie was fine, but the sandwich, in spite of the Nutella, was a disaster, and unfortunately, the gentleman couldn't just say to mention his name next time I came in and they'd remake it... without managerial approval. If the manager is gone all of the time, there should be a plan for issues that arise. It may be time to invest in a smoothie machine of my own.Update: I was called back and offered a new sandwich, which I appreciate, but because this is not the first time green bananas have been an issue, I am going to leave the review, but change my rating to 3 stars.

Wait time sucks, and got orders wrong. Disaster
Placed a mobile order that was supposed to be ready around 12:01. Had to wait over 20 minutes PAST when my order was supposed be ready after I was sitting inside, turns out other guests who come in after me and order after me are more important. Also ordered an açaí bowl with no strawberries and blueberrys, but with banana and when I got it there was NO bananas in them at all. But the other thing I got with that was a yogurt with peanut butter and bananas in it with Nutella drizzle. Got the bananas in that though, but no Nutella drizzle? Come on. And on Valentine’s Day? Are we serious….it wasn’t even that busy. And people who ordered after me got their orders before me when I was waiting longer than them already….? The wait time on top of not getting my bananas on my bowl and Nutella drizzle on my yogurt bowl is really what takes the cake for me. So now I’m eating an açaí bowl with just grahams and peanut butter….do better

Went through the drive thru this morning after physical therapy for a refreshing smoothie and ended up getting a super yummy salad!! Thank you Jadyn and other staff members for your help and always being super helpful when im making my decisions!!! Always great food and smoothies with a smile!!!

had a really disappointing experience working here. I was fired today for taking a break, which says a lot about how employees are treated. There was no understanding, no real conversation—just immediate termination. The environment felt unsupportive and stressful, and clearly basic human needs aren’t respected. If this is how staff is handled, I can’t imagine this place being well-run behind the scenes. Definitely would not recommend supporting a business that treats workers this way. Do not work here, when the new owner came in they were quick to hire people they know and fire the workers who have been working there before them

These people are very racist. I ask to use the restroom and they look at me like I was a bum off the street she has the nerve to say for customer use only ... And I've been supporting this company for years .just because I'm African American descendant does mean we are poor I'm very popular in this community being a celebrity photographer for over 20 years to be look at as a bum or a person that doesn't have nothing. I wouldn't shop there again.

After they got my order wrong when i specifically asked for my quesadilla with just chicken and cheese multiple times she handed it to me with everything on it. I ask to get it fixed how i wanted she “fix’s” it by putting bread and 2 pieces of chicken into it and throwing it in there!!! horrible service. Frontage road in meridian ms

I tried this place at least four times the first three times I wasn't with my husband when he ordered, the last time I was. Tropical smoothie has a great concept however the staff needs training with Serv Safe standards. There is usually two workers in store. The cashier and deli worker both flip flop between cashing and making orders. When done no one goes to wash their hands never! When the guy went to do my order I had to tell him to please wash his hands. After this I didn't trust them at all. I went another two times when my husband ordered and it was the same thing. Along with that staff with no gloves just digging in the ingredients with bare hands and putting them in the blender. Any sickness they have will be passed on to consumers as these items are ready to eat and not cooked. Franchise owners need to check into standard at Orlando, miami and west palm beach locations.

I would give this place a negative 1 star. I never been here and won’t go back. I came in ordered a smoothie and the girl refused to take my 100 bill told me it was too big. It was 1:30 pm so if a company does not have change at that time why they in business. Even if I have money on a card I won’t be back. This is the flower mound location. If I could give a zero star review instead I would. The location in Leland NC. I walk in, and stood at the counter for over 10 minutes waiting to order but none of the workers come. No one was inside but me. And 3 workers just stood around chatting with each other. Shit service. 11/6/25 @11:30

This particular Tropical Cafe in Sachse Texas is unique. The manager of this Cafe operation along with his staff go above and beyond expectations. I have been in a "customer first" management program all my life and the way you are treated by Majic and his staff meets all the criteria of a "CUSTOMER FIRST" operation. In addition, they take quality to another level with the preparation and deliver of the ordered item. This franchise deserves a gold star for the way the operate.

Tuesday 10/14/2025 I ordered a bahama mama that is the only one I love and get every time I am a rewards member as well. so i added supplements b12 and multivitamins i couldn't even finish my smoothie it was so nasty tasted like chalk not mixed up very well and also my smoothie was watery it went in the Garbage. so, upsetting and this is the third time this has happened to me at first i really thought it was my taste buds being off or something but nope not at all. this was at the panama city beach fl parkway location they need to do better
