Complete frauds and scammers
Complete frauds and scammers. Do NOT give them your business or entrust them with your belongings. They subcontracted the work to even bigger scammers and bullies, I was sexually harassed by the movers they sent, my belongings were damaged and arrived late, and I was extorted for an additional $7k above their quote upon threat of keeping my goods and selling them. When I tried to bring a claim/law suit, they couldn’t be served because their corporate information with the Secretary of State database is fake.

Horrible and costly service
Horrible and costly service. It’s less expensive to go replace your items than pay for this company. They subcontract out your shipment. They way over calculate the cubic footage, then when they picked up I had to sign that I would pay $600 in cash when they delivered. When it came here they had changed it to $700 and said I agreed to it. Then they wanted another $200 just to put it in the house, not even up stairs. It was a total of 7 small pieces of furniture, three of which I, a 60 yo lady, could move by myself.Don’t waste your money with this horrible bunch of thieves!

Theives, Liars, and Crooks
To start, this isn't a moving company, it's a brokerage. They sell your move. After charging big money to make a bid firm, they don't stop the actual movers from ignoring that and extorting more cash out of you. There's NO COVERAGE for damage regardless of what they tell you. They will jerk you around, send you to several different claim companies, none of which are actually insurance companies and none of which can get you paid. This is before the actual movers also screw you over in this fashion. Suing in Florida is a waste, you'll never collect. Put these crooks out of business. They disassembled my $2700 refrigerator for NO Reason (it comes out of the house without this) AND then lost half the parts and left it in pieces in my basement. This is now a total loss. I figure I'm out easily $14K between overcharges, damage, and lost items

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE
The broker was very persuasive. Told me they were insured and gave me a decent price quote. About a week before the move, they tried to double my price. The moving company they subcontracted was hideous. There was damage to my stuff because of a wreck and one email I got back from them in all caps basically read that it was not their problem. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. Contact a reputable moving company and skip the broker. It is a definite ripoff.

BE AWARE SCAM-BASED MOVING BROKER COMPANY
If I could give a 0 and guarantee NO ONE else would EVER go through the experience that I have, I would. BE AWARE OF SOUTHERN GUARANTEE AND THEIR FRAUDULENT PRACTICES. And before I go any further, let me be clear that I have evidence, witnesses, and the traumatic physical and mental scars to bear of all that I will say, REGARDLESS of their response which may follow this review. First of all, this company should be put out of business, if not by the FTC, DOT, FBI, then by WE, the people. I felt comfortable going with this company in a move from VA and believing they were ethical, patriotic, honest, and safe; through the process of engaging them, a representative recognized my name from a DoD foreign service PCS just a few years prior. THEY ARE NOT. Their federal contract with DoD should be pulled and all licenses to do business revoked for federal and interstate domestic moves, as I experienced every violation in federal law concerning this company and their unethical partnership with Sala Moving.Let’s start with “Southern Guarantee Moving”, an oxymoron if ever I’ve encountered one. Their “guarantee” is to guarantee you fraud and fleecing, then wipe their hands of you after claiming and presenting themselves to be actual movers with a large fleet to accomplish your move and any tasking. NOT SO. THEY ARE MOVING BROKERS who do not identify themselves as such and con you out of 1000s of dollars to do what you can do: pick up a phone and coordinate your own move with an actual moving company that can and will accomplish what you want and need for an actual, legitimate price for time, material, and services rendered. When you start to engage with them, they clearly appear to be on the level, asking all the right questions, ensuring all: packers, boxes down to the kind for different types of items, packing materials, items room by room, size. I spent two hours on the phone going through all with the first rep reassuring me of smooth sailing and even discounts. During the call, I started getting a ton of text messages, including one from a person asking moving questions and claiming to be my mover. I questioned this with SG and the rep told me to ignore these texts and emails, that they were companies trying to steal their business because my name had entered the DOT database. SG finished the booking and transferred me to accounts for payment. I was at peace and grateful for what I thought a blessing, but I soon discovered the devil in disguise.A few days later, I received a call from their QC department (not actually a QC by his own words), meanwhile continuing to get messages from this other guy and trying to get my intake person on the phone to clarify these claims. What came out of this call truly made me uneasy. After reviewing everything requested, I was told I needed a greater number of boxes, clothes hanging boxes weren’t included in the agreement after discussing with the first rep, on top of numerous additional discrepancies between the two SG reps. Bottom line, that conversation ended with a readjustment of the “deposit” owed for moving which had to be paid by ACH (you only have 2 days to dispute and have a fighting chance to get your money back) in less than 24 hours or the move would be canceled. At NO time did anyone rep of SG ever say or allude to being a broker, tell me their “fleet” was actually third-party movers with their own set of rules, charges, negotiations, etc., or reveal the name of another company scheduled to move me. I started putting two and two together and pressing their customer service for answers. A customer service rep and his supervisor finally admitted all (except the additional charges) and the supervisor reassured me all would be well, apologized for the lacking behavior in communication (finally called me days before the move) by the foreman of this third-party company (sighting an excuse that they were foreigners and that was their way!). I discovered these additional charges when they showed up end of business, a day early, claiming my 1 bedroom/den would cost a minimum $12,000 to move! I immediately contacted Southern Guarantee for assistance to which holding phone games were played, false empathy from the rep claiming disbelief wanting to help, Sala Moving called and spoke with their SG POC while I was on the phone, then we spoke together. It was clear they were all complicit and in the scam. The supervisor finally came on and stated SG was washing their hands and that I had to deal with the 3rd party now threatening to leave my things unless we paid half in cash then; hostage situation for cash balance & sig before delivery w/ doc ref 30 days to pay. Sala was only a moving company not packers, had no boxes, no packing material, no tools. I had to leave, secure cash & all + a drill to take furniture apart, and pack my own stuff!

Bait and switch low estimate; fake positive reviews
Please note that the two companies from my complaint are SOUTHERN GUARANTEE MOVING AND STORAGE (USDOT Number unkown), and HANDLE WITH CARE MOVING & TRANSPORTATION LLC, USDOT Number 3190967.The first issue is the broker, Southern Guarantee, deliberately low-balled my estimate only for the mover to give a severe upcharge at pickup. Southern Guarantee gave me a binding estimate of $2068. As of the delivery today, I have paid $2796 - an extra $728 above the original binding estimate (despite only decreases in inventory, no increases). I did not change any of my large furniture items from the original estimate (in fact, I got rid of a bookcase, dresser, and end table), and I was 25 boxes beneath my original inventory (I had 10 boxes at pickup and was quoted 35 by Southern Guarantee). My inventory from Southern Guarantee would never have fit the space provided by the mover. I was extremely under inventory, but I was charged an extra $528 for taking up too much cubic feet (more on that below). Additionally, I was charged an extra $200 for stairs at delivery, despite Southern Guarantee charging me $75 on the quote and saying that would cover the stairs at delivery (so now the stairs have been $275 total). In total, I have paid an extra $728 (total $2796) from the original binding estimate of $2068, despite being severely under inventory. The second issue is illegal procedures at pickup. At pickup, I requested a new written estimate prior to loading (according to my legal right). The movers refused to provide one, saying "we won't know until we load." They also said they felt I would be over my allowed cubic feet, and they encouraged me to bribe them with a $150 tip each, saying "if you do me and my boy right with a $150 tip each, we'll pretend like everything is fine." Instead, I got rid of some furniture items and was 25 boxes beneath my inventory. After loading everything, the two movers told me I was within my allowed cubic feet. However, when they called their boss Eli, Eli said I was suddenly not within my allowed cubic feet, and I was charged an extra $528. I was not given this new charge prior to loading the truck (which was legally required), and I was required to pay the new amount since my things were already loaded. The third issue is failure to provide services that were included in my quote from Southern Guarantee (re-assembly of furniture that was disassembled by the movers at pickup). My contract from Southern guarantee included "reassembly for all items disassembled by the movers on the day of pick-up." This included a metal bed frame and keyboard stand. At delivery, the movers said "we don't do any assembly" and simply left, despite my payment including this service. My final issue is missing inventory and receiving items that are not mine. I am missing a black chair/stool, and I have two pieces of a metal bed frame(?) that are not mine. I have filed a claim, but from the reviews I have read online, I do not anticipate receiving much. When I brought up these issues to Sam, a supervisor at Southern Guarantee, she repeatedly said "it was only an estimate," and redirected me to Eli at Handle with Care. When these issues were brought up to Eli at Handle with Care, he was extremely confrontational and aggressive. He blamed me for all issues, saying I did not tip properly and thus any problems were my fault. These bait and switch and tactics and illegal procedures from both companies should be criminally charged to protect future consumers.

Absolute worst experience ever working…
Absolute worst experience ever working with this shady company. “Brett” wouldn’t let me say no, kept lowering the price on the move even though I was hesitant, and wanted to do more research. He pretty much begged me to take the deal, even broke down the math for mpg/gas to where it sounded too good to pass up. He wouldn’t stop talking about all his marijuana and drug escapades with me like I actually gave a crap. The next guy “Aaron” was much more professional at lying. He made it seem like everything was under control. I paid my first two deposits. $1,187.61 total for the move with the remainder to be paid on delivery. Well the day of the move, the truck shows up with less than half of what I had on my contract, so they had to call their bosses to renegotiate. They came back with a quote that was almost $8000 more. I fired them on the spot, and rented a truck through Budget while the driver sat in my driveway refusing to leave. Please do yourself a favor and never ever hire this shady company. They really need to be shut down. They truly could care less about you or your financial situation, they apparently do this up to 30x a day, 7 days a week! From what I’ve read on other reviews the driver will demand more money once he loads up all your belongings and will refuse to let you remove anything from the truck until you do so. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

I applied for this broker
I applied for this broker, I spoke with a consultant, Bret, who said he was a moving coordinator. I described to him my house and belonging not only in my home but my storage and my need to move from Michigan to Florida. He said he understood the space I needed and quoted me 500 cubic feet would be more than enough. Then he called back a week before moving and stated we should upgrade to 800 cubic feet, knowing what I described to him would not fit in the previous space and not this upgrade space. The initial cost was $1513 down payment (half of cost) then called for an additional $1,161 more to do an inventory they never did. When the driver arrived they said this would not fit, and the truck was too small that they were told to bring by Southern Guaranteed Movers. This was the space told to them by Bret who never scheduled an inventory. The actual movers charged me an additional $15,000, now the movers wanted $15,000 I had to shut down my bank accounts to recover money, and not be charged $1161 by the broker, Bret co., that wanted more money the day before the movers got there. The movers arrived early due to a snow storm or else we would never have known until the broker got all their money and disappeared. They no longer answer their phones and state I don’t have 24 hours to cancel a contract with them. They refuse to refund my money, even though I paid them and the movers all of their costs which I should not have been responsible for. They told me my storage would be $368 a month, now the storage company (blue ridge) is demanding $3000 a month($100 a day).

This POS company is a middle man who…
This POS company is a middle man who connects you with a shipping provider. They take their healthy cut by providing you an erroneous deal (cubic sq ft, etc) but when the actual movers arrive, the movers reviews your shipment and the ACTUAL storage needed, plus the ADDITIONAL packing items, which SOUTHERN GUARANTEE did not mention. The victims are the consumers and the shipping company!100% misleading tactics by Southern Guarantee. Trust me and STAY AWAY from this company and call the movers directly. I usually research companies thoroughly but they called so quick; GREG...with the silver tongue.I truly feel violated by SOUTHERN GUARANTEE and wish they were on the BBB! I'm out of an additional $1300.00 and I'm Madd as heil!Another thing, once they get your deposit via bank wire you can kiss it goodbye, hence why they won't accept credit cards cause it can be disputed. Lie #1 communication…the guy said he gave me his direct line to contact him ….he did not it’s a ring central app that goes to Sharon…not JAMES! Lie #2 carrier v broker ! Once they had taken my NON REFUNDABLE deposit and the movers showed up. They intentionally left out half my inventory off the estimate …and when I asked them about this BEFORE I paid, he said it didn’t matter they only needed to list the largest items. Lie #4 what’s included…the contract says very clearing that wrapping ALL furniture is included, idk why it even says that bc they wrapped it but they charged me for the shrink wrap, and labor ….the movers said that means TAPE is included….TAPE!!!! I’m waiting patiently for the class action lawsuit…I’ll be the first to sign. They can not keep getting away with this!

Delayed shipping by 30 days
Delayed shipping by 30 days, Team was always creative with reasons like a todler came up with all the possible reasons about business days, having patience to wait for 2 months long once the shipping is scheduled. These are all scamsters trying to lock your luggage with them in warehouse and demand money. My luggage was missing 1 box and tv stand glass was not delivered. Customer care is awful., if you want to put your anxiety to test these people does it best.

These guys are a nightmare
Please take the time to read this review and know full well what you are getting yourself into with these guys; you will be very happy that you did because this is hugely important for anyone looking to move. DO NOT TAKE THIS LIGHTLY. Southern Guarantee moving “broker” is simply just that and nothing more. This is the single, only thing that they do with your move. They just find you any moving company that gives them the most profit margin for the estimate…regardless of how bad they are or are known to be. They find you just “someone” to move your stuff and then have zero things to do with you again after some other company comes by and handles all your stuff. You pay Sourthn Guarantee thousands for what you can do for yourself in a simple google search within minutes to find a decent moving company. And I guarantee that will turn out better for you. You need to understand that Southern Guarantee moving company is a total scam. You need to understand this fully and dont tell yourself otherwise because you liked the quote and sales pitch. They have zero role in your actual moving experience aside from sending a truck days late on arrival and many days late on drop off with zero updates ever. No one calls you or updates you on anything and you need to do all the work yourself, and this is the last thing you want to do or have time for when moving. They do not have a claims process for all the damages that WILL occur - the contract even says that they have no involvement with the claims process and that you need to contact the actual moving company and their insurance after that; despite the $50k that the sales guy at Southern Guarantee says they have to offer you in case anything bad happens. This is not true and you will be screwed. Everything is a lie with these guys and they point fingers at each other and the actual movers and ultimately the insurance claims 3rd party. They take LOTS of your time trolling you like they are trying to help but nothing gets anywhere after months of hoping. I will say again that they DO NOT KEEP YOU UPDATED with anything at all - you have to call to get any info that you want at any time even though they explicitly say they would be calling you throughout the move with updates, quality assurance, etc. They do zero of the things they say they are going to do when you initially call them, and they almost uncomfortably push to sell you their broking “service”. Their attitude changes toward you 180 degrees as soon as you send them the deposit and they lock you in with zero chance of a refund and no recourse - you pay via your bank account so that you cannot get a refund like with a card (this is why they do it). Their call/support center is just one guy in India who you cannot understand, literally, who hates his job along with yourself. You need to avoid this company for basically every reason that you can imagine. It is unreal this is an actual thing. There is a reason the company is only a couple years old and there are zero “reliable” ways to vet them on google, yelp etc. They dont even run their own yelp page! Look at it! All bad reviews and the business isn’t even claimed. Their “good” reviews on google and everywhere else are paid for by them and are done by recently created accounts with little history of reviewing anything else…they are paid bots…the good reviews and paid reviews! This company will shut down or be legally be forced to shut down soon, and they will pop up again later with a different name, same people only to continue preying on people. I was an idiot; I admit it. I didnt want to believe it. All the signs were there. Read this review again if you think the “good deal” and the sales pitch is worth the risk. Uprooting your life and having someone else move your stuff can be a bit traumatic, and if you want the worst imaginable experience then this is 100% the company for you. This is no joke. Read this review five more times if you still think its worth it. $4300 in damage done to my stuff and after waiting 6 months to get things resolved I receive a non negotiable check for $170 only because I was absolutely relentless and wasted dozens of hours trying. RUN AWAY PLEASE!

SCAMMERS AND THIEVES!!!
SCAMMERS AND THIEVES!!!! If I could give a negative review I absolutely would! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you like to be completely screwed over and lose your money. In July 2022, "Ben" at Southern Guarantee quoted me $7064 to move my 3 bdrm home from Boise to North Carolina. I repeatedly tried to give him measurements of things to ensure accuracy and a correct quote. He told me it would be fine and what he was putting in would leave me plenty of extra room. August...comes the day the moving people arrive. They then quote me over 12K to move my things! I told them not happening and told them I'd move myself for that price...which I ended up doing with Uhaul. Southern Guarantee then told me the $2326 I'd already paid them could go towards another move in a year. Fast forward to today. I moved the majority of the things myself cross country in a Uhaul for less than $6k including the gas but ran out of space for bringing a couch, recliner, coffee table and one double bed. I called Southern Guarantee to move what was left in my home now that Ive sold it so that I could use the amount I'd already paid them. Guess what....they informed me that even though I only had those four items that needed moved, I'd still owe them the difference of what they first quoted me....yeah...do the math....that's $4738. I can buy an entire new living room and bedroom set for that. I'm telling you.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! THEY ARE A BUNCH OF SCAMMERS!!!

Deceptive Company
Deceptive Company: I should have read trust pilot before hiring. Everything you read is absolutely true. When you call for the price, they are nice and tell you everything you want to hear (they lied 100%) when the movers arrived, charge was 100% more then my original quote. Once you pay their deposit- you can never speak to your "agent" again, you get general CS team who reads canned responses.Do not use this company.

Moving Experience
Most disorganized moving company! We moved state to state and we were not updated on where the truck (our items were) what-so-ever! The only time I got updates is when I would call DAILY. They told us they drive 500 miles a day to make it to our desired delivery day/backup delivery day and neither day was met. They were delayed by TWO WEEKS and later we got our things from some guy (one I may add, no moving company like promised) who shared he was hired off of Craigslist (he saw a posting online) which we never gave permission for the company to post??!! How is that okay? Although, we were very grateful for his help because it took him alone and my bf all day to unload and assemble our furniture. Most items were left in our garage because they couldn’t finish. My bf was upset he had to help and do a lot of heavy lifting which we did not pay and sign up for. *My bf’s air fryer is destroyed. We will be fileing a claim for sure!!!!!!! **May I add my pet was without a cage and all of our Christmas decor, trees, clothing, pots & pans, and many more for that two week period. We sat on the floor to eat and used an air mattress during that time. It was definitely very sad and disappointing not having any of our furniture for Christmas. I don’t like writing bad reviews but this was very disheartening experience that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. Especially before the best time of the year!

Scam company
Jordan quoted my daughter a total price of $2995.00 with a $1200.00 deposit second payment of$700.00 and another payment of$795.00 upon delivery. And when movers arrived they loaded up items and a motorcycle which they then informed her there was a special handling fee (first time hearing that). The second payment was to be $700.00 when stuffed picked up, but once items on the truck they wanted $2800.00 ,.I had to pay it cuz my daughter needed out of abusive relationship. They also stated $1200.00 upon delivery. That is $5500.00 far far from $2995.00 Also upon delivery cash only. Or money order. I have left several messages with Jordan with no response back. This company is fraudulent and took advantage of a young girl in a bad situation. Shame on them. Hopefully I can get a lawyer .

I would give 0 stars if I could.
I would give 0 stars if I could. We scheduled a move on a certain date and then without any notice, the date was changed. This happened 3 days before we were scheduled to move! The supervisors were less than helpful and rude on the phone. They explained that they couldn’t refund us the $800 deposit even though they didn’t do anything for us but cause additional stress. Our dispatcher was very misleading and said everything necessary to get us to sign the paperwork, making it seem as if they had our best interest in mind.If you want an easy move, do yourself a favor and choose someone else! These people do not care about your time or money! If you do choose to hire these people regardless of the multitude of negative reviews, make sure you read their contract very carefully. They aren’t scared to screw you over!
