The way Mark presents the material is simple and easy to understand. I've made great progress with Russian Made Easy in just a short time which allows me to be more confident of my ability to converse in Russian. What you learn is very practical and I suspect more useful than what one would learn in a conventional course. I've decided to take it to the next step and sign up for Russian Accelerator. Thanks Mark!!
Highly recommend , there program teaches you real conversational Russian and provides many techniques to help you retain new information
Excellent. Just the right speed. Gets you talking and involved from day one. Mark makes it an enjoyable experience making what I thought would be a very hard language to learn seem do able.
I am currently doing the Russian made easy course. I find it truly so easy to follow, and I really don’t have anything bad to say about the free podcast, plus the helpful site with all the content to go with it. The only thing I thought was too bad, was after episode 4, I sent Mark an email as he had mentioned in the podcast users are able to give him feedback on how it’s working. I sent that in March 2023. I haven’t received a response back nor am I sure if I’m supposed to receive one. But going forward I do expect to receive more prompt communication for emails relating to Russian Accelerator, as this will be something I’m paying for once I get it. But if you want to learn Russian. You MUST try the podcast+ site info to see just how good it is, you won’t regret it.
The russian accelerator truly helped me go from zero to beginner-intermediate in record time. Also, big respect to Mark and the support team for responding fast and being helpful
I have been following the Russian Made Easy podcasts and am now on number 22. To my absolute delight I have found that from knowing NO Russian apart from "please, thank you" and "goodbye" one month ago, I am now able to have very basic conversations with my Ukrainian friends, asking them how they are, where they work, what they like etc. I am so grateful to Mark and the whole team for teaching an old (65) woman to speak a difficult language. It is never too late to learn!
I am so impressed with Mark Thompson's (and Crew!) Russian Made Easy course at russianmadeeasy.com. As a genealogist, I found that my great-grandfather spoke Russian and also have some letters from my ancestors in Russia. So this gave me the incentive to learn the language. When searching around for a good place to learn, I found this Russian Made Easy lesson. They have thirty FREE lessons that teach you to speak beyond the basics on their russianmadeeasy.com website. In addition to these lessons, they have videos where you can see the words being spoken in context. There is a learning curve to this, as Russian words change depending on tense (like in English) but also change depending on who is doing the talking and who you are talking to (male/female/neutral/formal/informal). Also, they have additional free lessons on how to read and write the Cyrillic alphabet. I've only done a few of those lessons so far and they are easy due to their use of visuals, but with what I've learned just through the language lessons, I can already read many signs and tell what store banners and product labels say.One of the reasons that I am so impressed with this Russian language course is that they offer so much for free, so by the time you are finished with the thirty lessons (plus all the extras), you can literally have a decent conversation in Russian and feel confident about it. The second major reason this course is so great is that Mark Thompson has structured these lessons so that you easily and painlessly learn the verb conjugates, which are verbs that change with regard to tense or who you are talking to. Of course, you must be consistent in taking the time to go through the lessons, plus the exercises. I do it once a day. The lessons are short but sufficient - he doesn't overload your brain. I write the new words down daily so I can glance at them a couple of times during the day to remember them. Then, the following day I listen and participate in the brief review from the previous day, then get on to my new lesson. Sometimes I need to repeat a lesson, but that is okay. I am currently up to lesson #28 with two more to go before I finish this course. I couldn't be more proud of myself for getting this far. I could not have done it without Mark Thompson's instruction. I know enough that I can order in restaurants and have general conversations like talking about where you work, live, what language you speak, and much more. This beginner course (but it's really much more than that) gave me the confidence to move on to the advanced course, which does require payment but since I already have experienced Mark Thompson's teaching method, I have no doubt whatsoever that it will be worth it and I feel good about it. In the past, I have tried other Russian language teachers who attempt to teach on YouTube, but many times they are just throwing words at you at random. Mark figured out how to put this course together so it is structured with the right building blocks. He makes it unbelievably simple. You feel like he is holding your hand all the way through it. I am so happy to have found this Russian Made Easy course. I never thought I would be able to learn another language, but here I am actually learning it with confidence. It has also made me consider learning new languages in the future. I highly recommend this course if you are trying to learn Russian.
I highly recommend this program (Russian Made Easy) for beginners or for anyone wanting to review Russian grammar. I have tried to learn from many different programs, but this instruction teaches you as a child would learn (through immersion and context). It is very natural and you are fully engaged as it's never boring. I'm a teacher and a student of languages and I'm extremely satisfied and highly encouraged in my use of Russianmadeeasy.com.When you hear about the difficulty of Russian grammar (declensions, for example), you can feel intimidated but I'm already on Episode 20 (out of 30 episodes) and am greatly looking forward to the other episodes. Mark Thompson's audio program also offers a 'Media Center' which includes television video clips of vocabulary from each episode, and scripts that you can use to follow along and use for review. You can access this FREE program on the internet (RussianMadeEasy.com). Afterwards, you can purchase Russian Accelerator which comes with access to native speaking tutors. Good luck and I'm sure you'll agree later that this is one of the very best programs out there!
The way the instructor teaches is just amazing. I've made more progress with Russian Made Easy in just a month than I did with my university classes. Love this! ...and thanks for making it available. The best!
