I have been using their LED bars for the last few years. As an supplementary lighting, they performed well. However, almost every time, shortly after the warranty period expired, the LED diodes began to fail.In the past, I appreciated Orphek for supporting their customers even after the warranty had ended but that's no longer the case. Orphek claims that the LEDs have been improved and no longer burn out. Unfortunately, this is not true. They still do not last more than around eighteen months, and Orphek now takes no responsibility, offering replacement parts at a price close to that of a brand-new light.Today, Orphek appears to be a company trying to sell a Chinese-made product as a premium brand. You can find better quality lights on Chinese marketplaces for a fraction of the price.

I received my Orphek OR4 iCon Reef Day Plus LED Bar today.Negative points: • The lighting power is weaker than expected. My cheaper lights actually perform better. • You cannot dim different color groups individually — only the entire bar at once. For a 120 cm model with 36 LED chips and 4 color groups, this is disappointing. • No return policy: according to their own website, “Orphek maintains a strict No Return Policy. Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be canceled, refunded, or returned.” This is the first time I’ve seen an online store operate without a return option, and I’m not sure it’s even legal.Positive points: • Installation was straightforward, and connecting to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth was easy.

OR3 Sky Blue Failure
OR3 Sky Blue. Failure of a single LED after 13 months of ownership knocked out half the bar, I was told to suck eggs by the company, which is disappointing. Poor customer service, and a poor quality product. The entire point of LED’s are that they should last for a long time. Every other LED fixture I have used has been 4years plus in usage without a failure. Advised to just buy an entire new fixture.I Re-soldered a new LED (easily available online for a few pounds) which fixed the problem and then a different LED failed two months after! Don’t really trust the electronics after that, so removed from the tank. Quite an expensive paperweight after that. Great when it was working though I have to say, just overall poor quality and customer service, and I wouldn’t recommend you purchasing from them, over competitors in the same market- who are more likely to look after you.

I can only agree with James.After a good two years the UV LEDs were broken and unfortunately because they were out of warranty I had to buy an entire panel. Actually that can't be the case with LED...Lousy service for an expensive price. too bad!

As much as I love my Orphek lights....
As much as I love my Orphek lights the customer service and help is poor.Being able to simple get a tracking number from an order number has and is still taking an ordeal.When you pay for a product you expect to receive it. And so far I've been told its in stock, but to no avail.For a product that is not by any means cheap, I think I'll look elsewhere for a better experience if things don't go right. Which they rarely do...

OR3 light bar 900mm blue plus. Preferred on Thursday and received following Monday. That’s fast. This is a great lighting bar. Penetrates my 2 feet deep reef tank to the bottom. Makes the corals pop. I was without my old bar for about a week and the hard corals were very unhappy. In goes this new light and the corals were all open again within 24 hour. I rate the bar very high due to the quality versus the cost.
