AAA Northeast is a SCAM

2 years in a row I called AAA for a battery replacement for my vehicle for a battery that is supposedly new and has a 3 year warranty. Well it's bs. It used to be you could pay under $20 a month for AAA for roadside service including battery replacement. Now its over $250 a month which I paid and then used the battery replacement service bc my battery was dead in the cold. The first AAA battery died within a year. It was then replaced by a very nice technician who came with her little puppy but I again had to pay $250 to reup my membership thinking that was for the year and turns out it was for a month. I never even received a card which is why I don't know my membership number. The technician mentioned she was tired of these crappy AAA batteries being provided by AAA that crap out on people. She replaced it and that was less than a year ago. Today my car won't start bc that 2nd replacement battery is DEAD. I mean I could have bought a brand new car battery at an auto parts store or Toyota for the fees I paid to AAA and not had my car die leaving me stranded two years in a row as soon as it's below 30 degrees. Not making this mistake again, not paying $250 again to be a member for a MONTH to get my battery replaced that has a 3 year warranty but only if I pay the fee to be an active member! AAA should replace it for free anyway or refund me the membership fee I paid. AAA is using cheap subpar used car batteries and charging stupidly expensive fees, this is a scam! Don't fall for it, people!

Does not honor battery warrantees

I purchased a battery from them in December. It supposedly has three year warranty. The battery failed in August. They refused to honor the warranty, even though my car passed the alternator and all other tests. Their " test" also said that battery was fine. Bringing the battery to a charging station would "void" the warranty they wouldn't honor anyway. So, I had a dead battery with a warranty AAA NORTHEAST would not honor, and works void. What could be better than that that. All this after being a member since 2008, and NEVER using their benefits until December 2024. FIND ANOTHER WAY to receive roadside service support. AAA NORTHEAST is a scam.

Find another roadside assistance…

Find another roadside assistance company, they will NOT have your back! My car broke down in NYC and AAA dispatched a locally contracted garage, 54th Street Auto Care, to handle the tow. My car is an AWD and must be either flatbed or dollied -- any experienced garage knows this. Instead the car was dragged 15 miles which totally destroyed the drive train to the tune of ~$6K in resulting repairs. AAA Northeast refuses to accept any liability for their contracted garage, nor has been the slightest bit cooperative in assisting to resolve this matter.

AAA owes me money for auto withdraws…

AAA owes me money for auto withdraws that were fraudulent. After 5 days of trying to talk to the right agent, someone at this corporate office tells me that they will reimburse me. I receive a check with an amount much lower than what I am owed. I call again and they tell me that they made a mistake and will send another check. More days pass and I receive a check with a lower amount. I am now working on getting a third check and, of course, I am being transferred from person to person...In my opinion, AAA is a fraudulent company.

Horrible AI and call Service; No Access to Accounts at Night

I have 3 separate policies with AAA and they close at 5-6 which means you can not service the policies after 6pm; website and AI on their call center is a nightmare and should be replace; pro bally my last year with them as service has gone to crap and price has doubled since I started with them.
