No refund, whatever the circumstances!

I booked tickets for TDWP for my wife's birthday and immediately realised I had made a mistake as my wife had already seen it. I contacted the box office within 10 minutes (yes this was the timeframe!) to explain my error and try and to get a refund but was flatly refused so I have effectively lost this money. As a regular Theatre goer Nederlander will not get my custom again.

still refuse refund/offered another seat/pointless if distorted sound still the same/forwarded complaint to daily mail

WENT TO SEE DEVIL WEARS PRADA SHOW. SO AWFUL, I WALKED OUT AFTER ABOUT 13 MINUTES. SOUND WAS RAMPED UP SO HIGH THAT IT MADE ALL SONGS AND DIALOGUE INCOMPREHENSIBLE. JUST A SCREECHING NOISE. TERRIBLE. I COMPLAINED TO MANAGER AND ASKED FOR REFUND. SHE SAID I HAD TO E MAIL NEVERLAND, SO I HAVE, SEVERAL TIMES. NO REPLY - WHICH PERHAPS INDICATES THEY HAVE SO MANY COMPLAINTS, IT TAKES A WHILE TO REPLY? IF AT ALL? IN ADDITION THE BOOKING AT THE THEATRE WAS PATHETIC. LONG DEBATE AS TO WHAT SEAT AVAILABLE. WASTE OF TIME AS THEATRE WAS 3/4 EMPTY! RIDICULOUS BOOKING IN SYSTEM BECAUSE THEY DO NOT GIVE PAPER TICKETS, BUT DO GIVE PAPER RECEIPTS! SECURITY PEOPLE SURLY - HOWEVER, USHERS WERE NICE. WASTE OF MY TIME, MONEY AND EFFORT.

Don’t expect to see the artist advertised

I booked to see The Devil Wears Prada to see Vanessa Williams and was informed by staff on the day that she was ill and could not perform. When I emailed Nederlander about this, they lied and stated she was never scheduled to perform. Actually she was promoting the show on TV that day and was neither ill or unscheduled to perform. They did not respond when I challenged them on this. Totally unprofessional, so don’t book if you’re expecting to see a particular artist when they are supposed to perform.

Last minute decision to see The Devil…

Very late decision to see The Devil Wears Prada at the Dominion Theatre, LondonFortunately managed to find me a last minute cancellationThe show was amazing, outstanding performances, wonderful choreography and divine stage setsMore outstanding for me was the courtesy I received from the theatre staff, from the box office girl (wish I took her name) to the lovely lady who helped seat and guide me throughout the performance, they were extremely friendly, engaging and knowledgeable, this all added to the ambiance and enjoyment If I could give 100 stars 🌟 I would

Incredibly supportive theatre staff

I’ve just come back from watching The Devil Wears Prada 5 weeks after a knee replacement. The staff at the theatre could not have been more helpful. I booked the tickets in 2023. Rang the theatre last week to see what access was like as I had had surgery since booking the tickets. As soon as I entered I was escorted to my seat ( I was on crutches). I asked if they could heat up a heat back- no problem. During the intermission he came back to check on me, showed me to the access toilet and offered to heat up the pack again. He even checked to see if there was an aisle seat available so I could stretch my leg out- unfortunately there wasn’t but two other theatre goers gladly swapped seats with us so I could sit on the aisle. Overall a really great experience- and the show was amazing too!

Excellent access customer service: Dominion Theatre

I booked initially (very easily) access tickets for 'The Devil Wears Prada' at the Dominion Theatre. Then, when the performance I was due to attend was cancelled, I found rearranging access seats for a different performance very simple; TOBY in the Box Office (we spoke on 30th Sept) was very helpful and professional.I went to last night's performance (which was very enjoyable!).I am extremely impressed with this theatre's access logistics (no-steps entry to a private box and an adjacent access-toilet) and also very grateful to the designated member of staff who looked after me and my companions; MICHAEL was exceptionally helpful and professional, and kept checking in with us to check that I/we were OK and had all that I/we needed.Thank you to all at the Dominion for looking after your access-patrons so well - from booking tickets through to attending performances.

Misrepresentation of Access Registration Criteria

My experience with Dominion Theatre’s Access registration process has been disappointing. Nowhere on the website or in their documentation does it state that both an access card and proof of needing a carer are required for registration. The information on their website and in the documents provided states that applicants need only submit one of the listed forms of evidence, which includes proof of an Access Card. No asterisk or fine print exists indicating that additional documentation is needed to be registered or for discounted companion tickets, nor is this requirement mentioned in the information packet provided by Nederlander. At every turn I am receiving conflicting information. Their first response basically implied that I cannot apply for the scheme because I do not have a carer requirement (not stated on their website) "Our scheme is essentially for customers who require a carer companion with them. Since your access card does not have a +1 symbol on it, we required a different supporting documentation so we can include you as part of the access scheme." This I was told by one person "Our access scheme offers a free companion ticket for those who must be accompanied by their carer – it is there to ensure that patrons who require a carer do not have to pay for two tickets. " I was also told " Thank you for your feedback. We can as said offer you every part of the service provided by the scheme except for the free companion/50% off tickets discount as this is only there for those that require a carer."Despite repeated requests for clarification, I have yet to receive any concrete documentation supporting this additional requirement. Instead, the communication from the team has created a lengthy, circular exchange that shows no accountability for the inconsistencies across their website, forms, and attachments. When I asked for evidence of the supposed requirement, I received only vague responses, with statements like, "You may also have access to concessionary rate tickets or companion tickets where available," which does not clearly state that extra medical evidence is needed if a companion is required. I even pointed out the line on their form that says, “Provide a copy of ONE of the following,” which contradicts the requests for additional documentation. I even requested to be added to the scheme without companion concessionary tickets—simply to get registered—but this process lacks integrity and transparency. It’s about the principle: if your guidelines say one thing to register, yet you ask for additional, unlisted requirements, that’s misleading. Initially, after providing my Access Card, I was told by a team member that I couldn’t register unless my Nimbus card included a +1 designation. Only after raising a formal complaint did someone finally agree to register me, though they added that I wouldn’t have access to companion tickets. The entire process has been an absolute mess.At this point, it feels as though I am being pressured into accepting a misrepresented process, which is both manipulative and deeply inappropriate.I provided evidence of my access registration, which already required submitting medical documentation to Nimbus for enrollment. However, I’m disappointed that Dominion Theatre has introduced additional hurdles despite my having met all the advertised requirements. While I understand the need for verification, it's frustrating when new requirements are added after the fact. This experience has been unnecessarily complicated and disappointing, especially compared to my access registration with other organisations like the English National Theatre and Opera, where I was treated with respect and clarity.According to their website, "Our Access List is available to anyone who has a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010. You can register by completing the form and providing ONE form of evidence.” There is no mention that an Access Card must include a “+1” designation or any other specific criteria. Despite following these published steps and submitting the required proof, I was still asked for additional, unadvertised evidence, making the process unnecessarily complicated and unclear. I provided my Nimbus card information as requested, only to later be asked for further documentation, contradicting both the guidelines published on their website and the instructions I initially received. This back-and-forth has been frustrating and remains unresolved. The website guidelines make no mention of a +1 requirement on the Access Card, nor is there any asterisk or small print indicating this as mandatory, but I am being told otherwise. This lack of clarity and consistency has led to a highly frustrating experience and put me off.

Theatre tickets small print not guaranteed what you pay for!!

Daughter purchased Sister Act Tickets back in December for a Xmas present to see Beverley Knight perform in it. Saw it last week but she wasn’t in it and the producers didn’t explain why or anything you have to look on the board going in. You can’t exchange your tickets for another night anyway apparently and in small print they don’t guarantee the main characters etc..Beverly knight was well enough to go to the Chelsey Flowers Show and perform in Birmingham over the weekend so she was clearly over booked or over worked and Sister Act came second in line of duties. It happens so be aware! An expensive lesson to learn. They say sorry that’s all.

No trains - No refunds - Out of your control - No one cares

Really upset, I purchased Tina turner tickets back in July for 6th December. Train strikes have just been announced today (30/11) no trains are going to be running past 6.30pm. The show starts at 7:30pm. Cannot request a different date or get a refund. Cost of living right now makes this heart breaking. This has been keeping me going since July and now, out of my control it's all gone. No fun, no outing, just paid my money and got nothing in return. Lessons learnt, don't buy theatre tickets i guess :( Such an expensive waste. As someone with ADHD and Autism its a real kick in the gut for me. Was super excited.

Impossible to make reservations on…

Impossible to make reservations on website. However, my credit card was reserved THREE times of the total amount of 1500 pounds. But still no tickets. How on earth can a company that lives on selling tickets have such a lousy booking system?! Thanks very much for nothing!

Saw Elf the Musical

Watched Elf the musical and our seats were sold as restricted but couldn't have had better. Bang in the middle of the dress circle. Very comfy, lots of leg room and perfect view.Had an email a few days before confirming everything. Would definitely book again and sit in the same seats.

No ventilation, very hot upstairs, smell of dump

We were sitting on the top P 21-23. 28 Oct in Dominion theatre. It was extremely hot, no air/ventilation and smell of dump. People were taking off all the clothes they could and using leaflets as fans. I think it is unacceptable , especially during covid and flu season . I don’t know whether it is always like that or something happened on the day, but it definitely affected my enjoyment of performance and made me feel unsafe

Dominion Theatre

Was at the Dominion Theatre whilst recovering from surgery. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful in assisting me from moving me up the queue, to providing a wheelchair to get me to my seat, checking on me in the interval and going out onto Oxford Street to get me a cab to go home. Really made the whole experience so easy and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this theatre if you do need assistance in particular, but from what I saw, they were really helpful and friendly to all the customers.
