Hi there reader!My name is Alex, a long time user of Jreviews. Just because I don't know your name I will call you JD (John Doe or Jane Doe), hope you don't mind :)So JD, let's get started! You are probably debating of whether you should be a part of Jreviews or not. I will try to create a general picture of what you might be getting yourself into. *FunctionalityFirst of all, this piece of software is a truly powerful CCK (content construction kit) loaded with a rich list of functionalities by default, a lot of them I have discovered myself on the journey. This is why, as a recommendation for you JD I would suggest to set up a plan before starting to actually build your website and check before if what you need is already present in the existent functionalities. Unless your list of 'wishes' is very, very specific the chances are that you are covered or even better. You might want to go to the demo website (front and admin) to have a better look of how you might approach your building process.The beauty of Jreviews is that covers every type of user: beginner, intermediate and advanced. In case you need to add an extra bit of sparkling to your website in terms of functionality or design and have no clue of how to do that I would suggest to search the forum where there are posted many tips and tricks. There is a dedicated forum page especially for that. No luck there JD ? Asking in the forum or directly through a private ticket are the way to go then. From what I have seen and experienced the answers come quickly and with a solution. If you have html/css knowledge and maybe just a bit of javascript and php the things get easier for you. You can dive more into custom theming and templating. It's a joy to see how your custom theme can transform.Are you a developer JD? Congratulations then! You just hit the jackpot! Jreviews is so powerful and highly approachable. You can extend the functionality easily and go wherever your skills allows. Furthermore, Jreviews includes an impressive debug tool. I'm not a developer myself, but even if I can understand what most of the code does that says something about how clean the code is. *Ease of useSome people find using Jreviews a bit challenging, having a learning curve due to the extensive features but that's normal. On the admin side there is even a setting search implemented which proves itself very helpful. If you get stuck somewhere along the road, don't worry, Alejandro will be there for you and will show you the way. On a personal note, I feel like I'm still discovering bits and pieces from time to time. *SupportFrom my point of view, the level of support received is absolutely essential. No matter how good a joomla extension might be, I can't stress enough the importance of getting help when you need it. Alejandro is actively backing up his product in a professional manner every day. Although customisations are not officially supported, many times Alejandro 'forgets' that and offers guidance or even some solutions. Isn't that something?! Of course you shouldn't be asking for the moon either ;). What I'm trying to say JD, is that you will be cared for and you will feel it. Another thing I love about the support is that Alejandro has the right mind set about how to help people. If you get into an issue, a conflict or a potential bug, which is normal, he doesn't automatically says that it's not Jreviews causing it, he actually tries to help you and investigates the problem himself if you can't get to the bottom of it. Sometimes you might want a super magical feature (I want those the most). You may ask for it but if not possible Alejandro won't go around circles and make false promises. You'll get an honest and direct answer. I respect that!I have to mention the community around Jreviews which I find it pretty active and helpful as well. Thank you guys, you rock!*DocumentationAn extensive documentation is provided which I recommend to be read at least once very attentive before starting your journey. You will not only get answers to usually frequent questions but you will start discovering ways of getting things done better. There are practical, useful examples of how to use it as well which will make your life easier down the road. *Value for moneyThat depends on each one's affordability I reckon. But putting together the product and the support offered I encourage you to give it at least a try. I think there is as well a 30 day money back guarantee for your peace of mind which would give you a better chance to evaluate the extension. Reading through the reviews myself I have noticed people saying the price goes to the higher end, others saying they got more than they payed for, but none was complaining about the investment. I have been using Joomla going back to the mid-2000s and have, over the years, tried many of the popular directory building extensions out there. I have to say hands down JReviews is the best I have used and will the be only one I use going forward. It is feature-packed and extremely versatile. You can build practically any type of directory to your imagination's liking. The demo site, support, and documentation are tops too. The developer is super quick to respond and point you in the right direction when you need help. I first came across JReviews because I wanted to prototype a directory website for an organization I worked with at the time. Literally, our company's price to custom build a similar app using in-house developers with our fancy-schmancy enterprise CMS solution was astronomical. This experience, however, inspired me to launch my own community living guides using JReviews. I am fairly convinced when people check out the sophistication of the living guide I am building, they assume I have a large team of developers making it all happen. My secret is I have JReviews. I highly recommend JReviews if you are contemplating building any type of directory or content guide-oriented website. JReviews is an extremely great value for the money and the support is excellent.

We have also asked on a few occasions to implement some custom work (obviously we have to pay extra) but the work is always done very quickly and as requested. jReviews is a great and very powerful plugin. We used it for the WordPress-website of our non-profit association to help visitors find a prenatal/perinatal therapist.The plugin is sometimes a bit complex to use, but it allows us to set up (almost) anything we want.Especially the great and incomparable support from Alejandro should be mentioned.

JReviews is a versatile and powerful review app. I've used it on a writing critique website for several years and have loved the flexibility of it. It has lots of options and the support I've received has been wonderful. This week I ran into an unusual problem with uploads that I couldn't solve, and recieved very fast fixes from the developer. JReviews goes beyond just good...
JReviews is a LOT to learn in order to create a directory. The software has so many options that there is no "quick" set up. My project is very complex, and JReviews is the only software that I found to fit our needs. I've been developing for more than 20 years, and this is the first software that I've found to truly provide whatever you need. Others spend a lot of energy in making something "look" nice, but is not very functional and requires hiring the developers to make changes or set up the software correctly. But then you have no alternative but to hire them every time there is a change.JReviews allows you to build what "you" need and the look you desire. Once you get a handle on things you can create or edit any part of the directory.Alejandro is VERY patient and knows how to help even the meticulous people like me. So obviously I'd say support is great!The developers did a wonderful job and you can tell they spent a great deal of time creating the software because of everything that is included. I rarely write reviews, but JReviews was created so well and provides such quick support that I "had" to write this review - even before our project was completed.

JReviews for Wordpress makes my life easier!
I spent a lot of months comparing the different tools on the market. For three years I used Toolset but when I found JReviews for Wordpress my life changed. JReviews saves me a lot of time, the possibilities are incredible and the tool is easy to use and the technical support is very quick to respond. Great Directory and Review system
Have been using extension for about two months and is doing everything that I need it to do. Produces a great looking directory site. Technical support is great and they get back very quickly with detailed responses. Video tours are dated, but provide the basic details that you need to set up the directory. The documentation is extensive, but it can be a challenge to weed through to find what you need.Extension is on the high cost side when you get all the modules that you need, but you get what you pay for.

When you choose a comprehensive solution for a website, often times the make or break key is the support you get from the organization providing the app. JReviews and their team have been so accommodating and helpful. I would be remiss if I didn't add "patient" to the list, as I have asked some lame questions that likely could have been answered by better searching the documentation.I am so satisfied with the support and vested interest in making their customers successful. You really could not go wrong making this investment.
