Great interaction

The gentleman I spoke with, (I can't recall his name, bad memory on my end) was extremely helpful. He helped me set up a new listing and we chatted relating on personal level as well. Not just talking about work and the problem your having. He was very well spoken clear and an all around pleasure to work with.

What a great day!

What a great day!! Had an amazing experience fishing in Playa del Carmen with Alfonso, our skipper He explained how the day would go and what fish we were fishing for. There were plenty of drinks for us to have whilst enjoying the sunshine and catching some great fish! The trip itself was worth the money alone as we saw flying fish and bull sharks...catching was a bonus. Easy to book and exceptional value with amazing guys who really looked after us Thank you

Great especially in unfamiliar territory.

When I am visiting different parts of the country and world, I go to Fishing Booker to find guide services. They are reliable and easy to use. Just had a great experience in Quepos, Costa Rica. I highly recommend using Fishing Booker especially when you’re in unfamiliar territory.

I am deeply dissapointed with…

I am deeply dissapointed with Fishingbooker.com. As a captain, I found them to be delightful work with in setting up a few charters and I met a few great clients who were extremely happy with my trips. But then, out of the blue, Fishingbooker emailed me to accuse me of a discriminatory comment on another social media platform. The sent me the page and I had made no comments at all on that page. I also checked my comment history and found no comments. I am not sure what kind of nonsense they are trying to pull, but it is a bit frightening that my business relationship and private information has been compromised. I can only think that this came from Fishingbooker, since they do not have any proof of any comments that I have allegedly made. Perhaps, a new name for this company could be "Phishingbooker," because now I am worried that my private information is being compromised by this company. Be careful using this company, as your private information and banking information may be compromised, as well.I will see how this plays out and determine how to remove my banking information and other personal information from this site, if this is not corrected. I also hope this does not end up in a lawsuit. Be careful!Furthermore, if you read the 1 star review below mine, you will find the double standard in regards to "discriminatory" practices. The very thing that Fishingbooker accused me of! It is quite interesting, that if you continue to read the 1 star reviews, you will see the complaints regarding communication problems between customers, captains and FB, including boats and trips not meeting expectations as well as misunderstandings about finding the marina and boat slips. So far, my customers booked through FB have had no problems and therefore tipped me well and wrote great reveiws in my profile. It is a shame that FB would value a bogus complaint from some random anonymous Instagram user on a local out of state page about a non-existent comment over the integrity of my amazing fishing adventure from Ventura, CA to the Channel Islands. What an upside down world we live in!

It took a couple of calls

It took a couple of calls, but once I finally wasn’t placed on hold for a long period of time it was very easy to get accomplished what I needed to for my listing!

Transparent feedback about company’s hiring process

As FishingBooker emphasizes transparency as one of its core values, I would like to offer equally transparent and honest feedback regarding my experience in your hiring process. After submitting two voice recordings and my CV, I was invited to the Open Day (second round), which lasted an entire working day and was conducted fully in English. This required me to take a day off work and invest a significant amount of personal time and effort. A few days later, I was informed that I had successfully progressed to the final, third round – the Cultural Fit interview – again conducted entirely in English. At no point during the review of my voice recordings, nor during the Open Day — where I spoke English continuously for an entire day — was it communicated to me that my accent might be considered insufficiently American or a potential disqualifying factor. Had this been clearly stated earlier, I could have made an informed decision about whether to continue in the process, and a significant amount of time could have been saved on both sides.Instead, this concern was raised only in the final interview, after I had already invested substantial time and effort and reached the last stage of the process.During that final interview, I was asked whether I would mind working on adopting a more American accent, as I was told that “our captains communicate better with support agents who have an American accent.” I clearly stated that I was open to improvement and willing to work on it.Despite completing all three stages and expressing flexibility, I was later informed that the owner was consulted about the possibility of an accent-related course and declined, stating that people are needed immediately. This effectively ended my candidacy.I find this outcome highly problematic.Rejecting a qualified candidate after multiple interview rounds — based not on English proficiency, clarity of communication, or professional competence, but on the absence of a native American accent — is, at the very least, discriminatory and deeply unprofessional. Throughout my international career, English proficiency and effective communication were always the standard; never once was a native American accent a requirement. This has not been an expectation in any serious international company I have worked for.FishingBooker often positions itself as the “Booking.com of fishing.” However, with hiring practices such as these, that comparison is difficult to justify. Global companies value diversity, competence, and inclusive communication — not accent-based filtering that borders on linguistic and cultural bias. This approach does not encourage qualified and experienced candidates to apply. On the contrary, it discourages them, as the process requires a substantial investment of time while offering little transparency about non-negotiable criteria that ultimately disqualify them. Candidates who are otherwise highly suitable may never be selected simply because they do not “sound American enough.”If a native American accent is, in fact, a strict requirement, it raises a valid question: why not hire Americans directly? Instead, local candidates are held to an arbitrary standard, while being offered compensation that would hardly attract U.S.-based professionals.I am sharing this feedback not out of bitterness, but out of respect for the value you publicly promote — transparency — and out of genuine concern for the candidate experience and your employer brand. I sincerely hope this feedback will be taken seriously and used to reflect on and improve your hiring practices going forward.

Excellence in Customer Service

I have been a charter captain working with FishingBooker for 8 years. Each and every interaction with them, whether through email or on the phone, has been outstanding. They never question my judgement or my interactions with referred clients. If it’s a refund to the client, they are prompt. If it’s a change to a booking, it is handled efficiently. Overpayments or underpayments are cheerfully handled without question. Genuine customer service is difficult to obtain these days but FishingBooker has always exceeded my expectations. And they have supported me with my client interaction. Job well done! And thank you.

Transactional fees from company cancellations

Charter company cancelled booking.Refund was not paid back in full due to cancellation fishing booker transactional fee. This cancellation from fishing charter and fishing booker was an inconvenience and out of our control therefore there should be no fees charged due to inconvenience and not receiving any services from fishing booker.

Fishing Bookers guides made sure my trip was what I believed it would be!that…

Fishing Bookers guides made sure that my travel to Florida was worth the trip. I will use them wherever I go to fish, I also recommend for anyone wanting to fish anywhere to look to see if they have guides there as they as I know have guides in many states. Fishing Booker also was very fast to reach back to me about any questions I had, I have not had that kind of class response before! I rate them 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s!
