Female left on smart motorway for three hours
On the 6th January 2022, I was a female on my own who broke down on the smart motorway. I was on hold for a very long time before they picked up the phone. When I finally got through to an advisor, she could not locate me and I could not send her any other response other than the location sms which she could send. The location was placing me elsewhere which took 30 mins to even locate me. I feel it was not clear that this was the only option, I thought at least a mechanic would take a look at my car but the only option was a pick up truck. I was then asked to find a local garage or they could not collect my car. I had no idea where I was, so had to google on the side of the motorway the nearest garage and arrange for them to accept my car. I called at 09:00am and did not get picked up till 12:00pm so I was on my own for three hours freezing cold. This really was not the best service and would not recommend for females.

Unreliable,& would definitely not recommend to anyone, I have paid for 12 months breakdown cover, with homestart, & only used them once, as my car wouldn't start due to lack of use in lockdown, after 3 hour wait guy turns up,,not very professional, starts car says take it a good run it will be ok, DID NOT TEST BATTERY, as he said I can see it's a new battery, which it is,,you'll be ok, gave my car a 20 mile run,all ok. The next day car wouldn't start, called breakdown, just to be told I'd have to pay£98 for them to come out unless I had proof of payment for the car being checked over as it's the same problem,& the battery would have been checked by the Mechanic who came out ,can I get my local garage to come & look at my car, how the can pridict over the phone it's the same problem is beyond me, as it definitely wasn't. when I got up set, I was rudely reminded that all phone calls are recorded, so I was so angry I hung up, I was left to sort out my car I need urgently to attend a funeral!!! I'm appauled by this company !! unprofessional, rude and a rip off, MY ADVICE STAY CLEAR.
