Christian Brothers charged me twice for…
Christian Brothers charged me twice for the same issues I originally brought my vehicle in for. The VSC, TRAC OFF, and engine lights were on, and the AC/Heater was making a grinding noise. I have CarShield, and they approved and paid for the AC/Heater compressor. In addition, Christian Brothers stated that the EVAP/charcoal canister needed to be replaced. It took 2–3 days for them to receive the canister, and then I was told it was the wrong part. They spent another 2 days searching for a replacement. I paid $985.00 for these repairs.I picked up my vehicle, and three days later, the same warning lights came back on. I returned the vehicle, and they kept it for another three days, stating they could not locate both valves for the emissions system. When I asked how a company of their size could not find basic parts, John Paul told me my 4Runner was “over 20 years old.” I contacted a Toyota dealership myself, and they confirmed they had the part in stock. Christian Brothers could have obtained the part directly from Toyota, but instead they sourced it from a salvage company.I instructed them to repair my vehicle correctly, yet they charged me an additional $503.00 for work that should have been completed during the first repair. This resulted in me being charged twice for the same unresolved issue. Now I am havinf to take my vehicle back a third time

Be Careful using Christian Brothers for…
Be Careful using Christian Brothers for any repairs!!! I am a 73‑year‑old senior citizen who takes excellent care of my property, which is why my 4Runner is in such great condition. I had several reputable shops I could have taken my vehicle to, but Christian Brothers came recommended. Unfortunately, this has turned out to be the biggest and most costly mistake I have ever made.I brought my 4Runner to Christian Brothers because the engine, VSC, and TRAC OFF lights were on. I was later informed that the EVAP system and charcoal canister needed to be replaced. I was also told these items were not covered by my auto warranty, and I was charged $895.00.I picked up my vehicle, and four days later, the exact same warning lights came back on.On February 5, 2026, I returned the vehicle for the same issue. On February 6, I received another call stating that the valves—part of the emissions system—were now “sticking,” even though they were not sticking before the initial repair. I find it extremely concerning that these valves were supposedly functioning at the time of the first repair but suddenly failed immediately afterward.I am now being told I must pay $503.00 for valves that cost under $20.00 to replace.Because I am 73 years old and wanted to verify the information, I had AutoZone run a diagnostic. The codes they pulled are the exact same codes Christian Brothers is using to justify additional charges.

Save yourself the trouble
The Good - The different shops are pretty consistent with cleanliness and friendlinessThe Bad - The knowledge of diesel engines is very limited in my opinion. Their pricing structure is also to a point where I seriously feel like I'm being robbed. $215 dollars for an oil change on a 2.8 is highway robbery especially when the average price is 180, on the high end! I had limited options at the time so I went with it. They attempted to charge me over $1400 to replace the hot and cold turbo intake hoses when the Dealer would've charged me 918. I ended up doing them myself in 45 minutes. Shop supplies is the cost of doing business however, it is literally a line item for them.I won't be visiting their shop anymore

Excellent service
Christian Brothers off of Bullsboro in Newnan had amazing service in my opinion. Clean and organized. I went in for an Oil and inspection. Time waited wasn’t as bad ,probably an hr in a half due to others being ahead of me but that is expected. Also they show you EVERYTHING they have done to your vehicle w/pictures and videos. All in all , it was great.

As Christian Brothers owed me a duty of…
As Christian Brothers owed me a duty of care, breached that duty through faulty work, and that their negligence directly caused me major financial losses. My vehicle underwent a battery replacement, accompanied by additional routine maintenance at this CB facility , but subsequently within a week's time developed intermittent electrical issues so my mercedes sat parked the majority of the year. I made an appointment at Mercedes in June , went to the shop appt and told that what I was experiencing was most likely the battery to get that checked first.. So I left that day and drove directly to Westchester CB and requested a battery assessment, the CB technician indicated that the battery connection and electrical lights were in working order I was told the battery was fine. My car lights went off in the parking lot of CB so I had to now have it towed back to Mercedes an additional tow expense, Mercedes diagnostic revealed that the technician responsible for the battery replacement last year had neglected to properly secure the sensors, resulting in a faulty battery sensor installation. I was told by Mercedes several hundred dollars later..the "Car is perfect, you will never have this issue again. " I nearly sold my car at a huge loss but already secured a new car to replace the mercedes when the issues started as it was not reliable..every few weeks it would shut down , twice on the highway due to battery sensor being loose and certain bumps triggered it until the car sat for a couple hours and would start again as normal. I did return to Christian Brothers when I first stopped at Mercedes and they said my issue was likely battery related. I visited Christian Brothers in Westchester the same morning , the technician came and reviewed my vehicle and said everything was hooked up normally. It was at that point I had it towed back to Mercedes , same hour and the further diagnostic revealed all of the above a misinstalled battery indicating a loose connection due to mechanics negligence to properly tighten . To provide context, I was repeatedly stranded in my vehicle due to the shop's failure to secure the sensor to the battery, resulting in my car shutting down while driving over bumps. This issue persisted for a year, causing dozens of hours of lost time, sleepless nights, and countless hours of research by my husband and me. Thankfully, the Mercedes shop accurately diagnosed the issue, and my car was now 100% perfect. However, I suffered significant financial losses, by needing to purchase a second car, nearly including a potential $4,000 loss on the vehicle's value as I considered selling it "as is"... My vehicle was running perfectly until I had my battery replaced at your shop. The FINAL specific verbiage from Dealer : "SCANNED VEHICLE AND FOUND CURRENT CODES FOR COMMUNICATION WITH BATTERY SENSOR. VISUALLY INSPECTED AND FOUND WIRE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY SENSOR POST TO POSITIVE WAS VERY LOOSE. TIGHTENDED FASTENDER AND RESCANNED VEHICLE , CODES WENT TO STORED, CLEARED CODES AND RESCANNED VEHICLE . TEST DROVE VEHICLE AND SCANNED CODES NO RETURN CODES. PERFORMED MULTIPLE FUNCTION TESTS: NO CONCERNS AT THIS TIME.""SCANNED VEHICLE AND FOUND CURRENT COMMUNICATION CODE WITH BATTERY SENSOR TO THE M-E. UPON INSPECTION FOUND BATTERY IS AFTERMARKET AND WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY . NUT FROM BATTERY SENSOR TO POSTIVE CABLE WAS LOOSE CAUSING DAMAGE TO BATTERY SENSOR .DIAGNNOSIS BATTERY AND BATTERY SENSOR TO START" I was offered very minimal compensation / reimbursement from CB in exchange to remove this review and to "part as friends". I declined. It was not even honorably close to financial loss for what I suffered from entrusting my vehicle to them.

Horrible
Horrible, Horrible, Horrible experience!!!!!!!!! I should have read the prior reviews (1.9 and honestly it should be about .5) prior to coming here for a simple oil change and inspection.I schedule an appointment and over 3 hours later, they still haven't contacted me as to what is taking so long. Then, another hour later, I finally get a text with a "Vehicle Inspection Report" I said no extra work will be performed. Please let me know when my vehicle is ready. So, long story short, if you go for an oil change/inspection, be prepared for a 4-6 hour wait. God help people that need to have actual vehicle repairs done. Never again.

AVOID Christian Brothers Automotive in…
AVOID Christian Brothers Automotive in Bradenton AT ALL COSTS - or it may cost you thousands! It’s a long story - I’ll make it short. My son took his car in for an oil leak, they supposedly fixed it by replacing the engine oil cooler, manifold gaskets, oil and filter. On his way home from the shop it was running hot and rough. He took it back to the shop - they told him he needed new plugs and an injector flush for more than $1,000.00. He picked the car up again, 2 miles down the road his temp hit 245 degrees and still ran rough - he stopped, let it cool and made it home another 3 miles. Discovered the car had no coolant in the engine. Called them. Christian Brothers Automotive had it towed in - they noticed the new engine oil cooler they put in was installed incorrectly - put in a new oil cooler and changed an injector. Still overheating. Back to the shop again - bleed the cooling system - back to the shop again, and again, and again. They had the car 20 days! My son paid them over $2,700! It’s not over - further down the rabbit hole they went now at their cost - new thermostat, new heat sensors, new radiator cap, more cooling system bleeding, another oil cooler etc. For days and days, telling my son that 230-240 degrees was ok - we kept telling them it wasn’t. But they kept sending him out the door with an overheating car. Eventually the temp reached 255 and the radiator blew leaving him stranded on the side of the road. They towed the car in again. New radiator, more cooling system bleeding more lip service and no fix. Still overheating. We finally pulled the car from them and had it towed to a real mechanic shop who determined in 30 seconds that the head gasket was blown - and the heads were warped. Parts melted under the hood. At the very least, needs a new engine if one can be found. Just offered $1,000 for us to go away - claiming they are not responsible - now we’re on our way to court.

First-Time Customer, Very Disappointed by Pricing and Response a review…
This was my first time leaving a review for any business, but I feel compelled to share my experience at Christian Brothers Automotive on East Arapahoe Road in Aurora.1. Pricing far above other quotesWe were charged $558.31 (before a 15% discount) to replace a single front wheel lug stud. For the exact same repair, I later received written quotes of $228.80 from an independent shop and $381 including tax from a Subaru dealership. That means Christian Brothers’ price was about 2.4x the independent shop and about 1.5x the dealership for the same job.Christian Brothers told me they used an ALLDATA labor guide to calculate the bill and charged 2.1 hours of labor, while the other shop quoted 1.0 hour. I understand different shops can have different labor rates and methods, but this felt significantly out of line with other reputable options in the area.2. Response to my concernsWhen I raised these concerns by email, the owner’s reply came across as dismissive. I was told that “complaining about the price after the fact is moot at this point” and that if we did not like the cost, we should have gone elsewhere. I had hoped for a more constructive conversation about why the price was so much higher than other quotes. My wife and I chose this shop largely because of the “Christian Brothers” name and the expectation of fair dealing that came with it. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not return and cannot recommend this location to others.

AVOID this company if you like your car
Back in April of this year I took my wife's car to Christian brothers. I had the coils and spark plugs were placed with parts I had purchased from Ford. I understood that they would not warranty the parts themselves, but I did expect them to be installed properly. My wife's car had 103,000 miles on it at this point and within a month of Christian brothers replacing all the coils in spark plugs one of the coils burned out. I had a reputable mechanic replace it thinking it was just an oddity. Within a few more weeks 2 more coils were dying. My wife thought it might be transmission problems and took it to a reputable transmission shop they ran the OBD2 and it showed that the coils in a couple of cylinders were going bad. Within 10 minutes of that diagnosis my wife had the car to Christian brothers. at this point there ws 107,000mi on the car. She showed them OBD2 the report and they basically thumbed their noses at it and said they had to run their own even though it's the same report. This cost I believe around $160, for the exact same test. They were rather curt about it to her, at this point she was exasperated and took it back to the other reputable mechanic who looked at the report and said, yes I see. I had him just go ahead and replace all the plugs and coils again. When I went to Christian brothers to discuss this matter with them they said because I provided the parts they have no warranty even though on the Christian brothers invoice it clearly says “Christian brothers automotive guarantees proper installation of guest supply parts that are designed manufactured and suitable for the guests vehicle in its current condition.”I provided the parts Ford sold me and CB agreed that they were the right parts. They (CB) failed to gap the plugs. My wife’s car requires a 0.031 gap and CB left the gap at 0.060 and said not gapping is “industry standard”. While that is a standard excuse maybe, the mechanic should have been astute enough to check to make sure that he was properly installing them. The over gap caused the coils to work twice as hard or more than they would have if properly gapped the new plugs, thus burning the plugs and damaging the new coils. Gapping is basic engine maintenance practice. When I used to do my own maintenance, way back when, that was the first thing I did…gap the plug properly.Christian brothers does not want to honor this warranty. I am only happy that their mistake did not destroy my wife’s car engine. If CB as a company really stands by their own warranties, they should refund their charges and the cost of having them all replaced again because of their improper installation.

All I needed wasa a radiator cap, but they said it needed $2,000 repairs
Radiator spewed hot water. Rusty owner said it needed $2,000 in repairs and might be more. Had car towed elsewhere and it was just a radiator cap I needed. Nothing more. I'd had the oil changed there just before and I think they left something loose so the radiator cap would blow.

dishonest and unethical
Three strikes and your out. brought my car in for a simple shock/strut replacement. they performed a "courtesy inspection".. stated and showed me that the internal water pump was failing and gave me an inflated price. But thats not all. they attempted to tell me my brake fluid was bad and had a burned smell. they also stated that my battery was not holding a charge. what these knuckleheads do not realize is that the battery was replaced 8 months earlier. it gets better because i two weeks prior taken my car to the Ford Dealership for routine service where the brakes, battery, belts etc were inspected. My first review was on Yelp. where the manager responded and wanted to give me a call to discuss. i gave him a time and date and two weeks have passed and still no phone call. A business is only as good as its leadership. so in this case you have horrible leadership and also horrible as well as unethical and dishonest employees.

Christian Brothers Automotive are Crooks!
I had to take Christian Brothers Automotive to small claims court, for them to do the right thing. The bottom line is, I prevailed in my lawsuit against Christian Brothers Automtive. Christian Brothers Automotive are crooks. CBA had my car for 3 weeks to repair a coolant leak, and I didn't even make it home. Within 30 minutes my car died after I picked up my car. My car was immediately towed back to Christian Brothers Automotive shop, the very same day CBA released my car. Sixteen months later, the leak in coolant re-appeared. I didn't take my car back to CBA, because I didn't trust CBA to work on my car for a 3rd time, for coolant leak they claimed to have repaired. I chose to take my vehicle to my manufacturer, to repair the coolant leak. The best free advice I received from an auto mechanic is, get a 2nd opinion if your car repair estimate is over $1,400. ~K.C.M

Stay away
Stay away. This garage charged us over 1,600 for a repair that didn't fix the issue. Before approving the repair, I asked the technician if the car was in good shape outside of the repair, and he indicated it was. I brought the car back the next day after the engine continued to misfire, and they told me I needed a new engine. The technicians disassembled the engine to service the spark plugs and coils, and somehow didn't find coolant leaking into them until "after" I paid $1600, at which point they told me my engine was toast. If the garage had a shred of empathy and any desire to keep a valued customer, they could've reimbursed "something" from the previous repair. Instead, they preferred to keep $1600 over a loyal, repeat customer. The manager of the garage refused to reimburse anything. They were within their rights to not reimburse me, but I was hoping the garage valued their reputation more than $1,600. Now we need to purchase a car with no down payment. The manager of this garage is short-sighted, and if Christian Brothers, as a whole, values their reputation, they may want to reevaluate if this garage is in alignment with their values.

Highway robbery
I can't believe this company that has excellent customer service would end up robbing me blind. My car went in for an oil change and the next thing I am told is the engine oil cooler filter and sensors need to be replaced. The charge for parts $765.00. The next thing I needed was both front lower control arms replaced. The charge for parts $895.00 for each controller. Next I needed front suspensions shocks and coil spring assembly The charge for each side $567.00. I spent over $4100 in parts that should of cost me 1/3 that price. Unbelievable that I could be so vulnerable to their word. With the labor charges added my total bill cost me $7500. Its obvious they're far from living the righteous path.

Great job !
I went to the shop in Surprise for a power steering pump and a valve cover gasket. TJ was terrific from the beginning. He made sure all concerns were addressed, kept me informed throughout the process and delivered a car I’m really happy to drive, again. To be honest, I was very impressed with the tune up. The car seems to be a lot more responsive and fun to drive …..and the power steering is sweet and silent, again. Impeccable customer service. Thank you very much, guys. God Bless.

Won’t do warranty work!!!!waste your time
If you are using a warranty to repair a low end knock in the engine, CBA of Hixson TN. will waste your time because they don’t want to mess with the warranty aspect of their jobs!! I Notified my warranty company of this issue and hope they drop them from being on the call list!
