The EDC Dark: A Sublime Piece of Functional Art
I pre-ordered a Carved EDC dark knife on day one. (I also did pre-order orders for my nephews and stepdaughter’s boyfriend, who are all Carved fans.) I just received my EDC dark as I picked it out the moment access for pre-orders opened. It is a gorgeous example of the Bloom collection featuring purple and red flowers and a spruce like wood burl. The knife is made of gorgeous Damascus steel. It is sleek, well balanced, and the new quick release button works beautifully. With a bit of practice you can flip the knife open, hit the quick release button and flip it back closed. As much as I adore and miss the LiveEdge knives, the EDC Dark may be my favorite Carved blade yet: it is a sublime piece of functional art. I could not be happier and will be haunting the site for my next EDC Dark.

Case looked used out of the box
I was so excited to get this case. I opened the box. The case itself is absolutely gorgeous, but scratched and seems to be used. The back isn't flush. It's absolutely not worth the price I paid. Custom service is okay. But I can either pay to have it sent back for a refund or for them to fix it. Or I can keep it and get a $8.10 refund... Which is absolutely insane. I'm incredibly disappointed.

This does not fit
This does not fit. This is my 3rd case, the other 2 were perfect. This one is too small, I was afraid I would crack the screen trying to force it on. The charging port is too small and almost all chargers including the Samsung one do not fit. You can't get the pen out either because the cutout is too small. I called and the customer service lady was very rude. Now I can't get this thing off and it's basically making my phone unusable.

Disappointed/Product Defects.
I came across Carved several times on social media and eventually decided to order a case for my iPhone 16 Pro Max.Their website states that overseas orders to the UK should take 15–20 days, but mine took significantly longer. I contacted them about the delay, and to their credit, they responded quickly and reached out to USPS to move things along.When the case arrived, I was happy it finally came, but disappointed with the quality. It didn’t feel as protective as I expected. The case felt flimsy, and the design seemed like it could easily crack or break off the shell.Less than two weeks later, the coating on the case started to wear away and has continued to get worse. The surface also developed a slimy feeling, which usually only happens to cases after years of use — not within days.I messaged Carved on Instagram about the issue, but the response time wasn’t what I had anticipated. They were active for a long time before opening or replying to my message, which felt inconsistent with the high praise I had seen about their customer service.When they finally responded, they asked me to email them — which I did. However, they now want me to send the case back to them because they can’t see the defects in photos, which makes it feel like they don’t believe what I’m describing. They also said they would need up to 7 days to review the case after they receive it - which seems particularly unlikely. Overall, I’m disappointed. Many reviews I saw highlighted how excellent their products and customer service were, but my personal experience hasn’t matched that. Unfortunately, I don’t see myself purchasing from Carved again.

The folk carved are very responsive when you’re ordering your new piece of artwork for your phone. Every question I had was answered quickly.Now that I’ve received my new piece of artwork I can’t stop touching it. I can’t stop holding my phone. I can’t stop looking at it. Absolutely love this case
This is the sixth Carved case I have purchased for my last two phones. Looking at the weekly drops might be a minor addiction. My other cases have been Traveler cases. I found this case in the Ancient Olive drop and decided to bite the bullet on a live edge case. I absolutely love it! These have protected my phone from multiple drops on bathroom tile and cement garage floors. They are beautiful, they protect my phone, and I have never had one that showed any signs of wear. Honestly, I don't think I will ever buy another brand of phone case.
