HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Purchased a Microphone through their website. Provided all my info at checkout. Item was sent and I tracked it through USPS. When the item was set to be delivered the post office noticed an incomplete address was given from Smallrig shipping department. The item was set to be returned to Smallrig on 2/10/26. I tried contacting them the moment I saw the problem to see if something could be done on my end to help the situation. No response till after 6pm. A quick email acknowledging their mistake and that they would get back to me. I wrote them a response the moment I saw their email suggesting solutions since I did need the product. SILENCE....no response at all. The item is now enroute back to them and now I want a full refund since I never received anything. No word as of yet. Their customer service is horrible. Ghosting a customer that actually wanted their product and was willing to find a solution is just bad business. There are a lot of companies that offer what these guys sell. Look elsewhere. Spend your money on companies that appreciate your business.

I buy SmallRig x Brandon Li All-in-One Mobile Video Kit Full, Vibe P96 / P108 Pro mini LED Video Light and S70 Wireless Microphone. I m super happy with what I got 😁 But enforcing I didn’t get the “ S70RX-L Wireless Microphone” as a gift that was in my bag 🙃 I am satisfied with the quality of the products and will most likely return to make some upgrades.đŸ‘đŸ»

NO LONGER EVEN NEAR RELIABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE NOW

This company used to be reliable and my chosen go to for the purchase of film equipment. Lately they just have gone to hell, they’re customer service is nonexistent now. They don’t care about their customers anymore and you place orders and you end up having to dispute the charges cause they never ship it. It’s just they’ve just gotten so horrible. I won’t buy anything from them anymore when I used to buy stuff from them constantly they suck now.

Rubber cover

After purchasing a macro light which iam very impressed with in every way,but there is just one small thing and that is the usb cover it will not stay in place no matter what which is a problem if it is wet,I’m going to have to apply a piece of tape but really it should stay in place by itself.Please look into this problem as I definitely will be buying a second unit as said before this is a excellent piece of equipment A1👍Kind regards Jeremy

Ordered two soft boxes on 9 January. No information sent on dispatch times. Still waiting for delivery. Tracker says processing. Terrible service. Wish I'd read these reviews before ordering. Shame because products are good but a nightmare company to deal with. Avoid!

Awful experience

Awful experience. They recommended a setup for me and then when it did not work they did not own their issue. They sent me a ton of technical jargon that was very hard to understand. Lastly, the directions were terrible (very small print in a booklet so you have to go online to read it) and no decent pictures or a video to construct it. The directions were written making the assumption that you know a ton about their product. They are in China so when there is an issue the time change creates more lags. And you can't speak to someone, just emails back and forth with no clear answers. Avoid the hassle.

I ordered a SmallRig camera cage for
Nikon Zr

I ordered a SmallRig camera cage for Nikon Z on November 18, and today is December 23, but I still haven’t received it. I contacted customer service several times, and each time I was told “another few days” or “10 more days,” but nothing has been shipped yet. Very disappointing experience and poor communication from SmallRig.

SmallRig’s Poor Fulfilment of Orders

SmallRig’s fulfilment and retailer support have been extremely disappointing.I ordered and paid for a SmallRig Cage Kit for the Sony ZV-E1 (SKU 4257B) through Calumet.de, an authorised SmallRig retailer. Calumet then told me they couldn’t provide a delivery date because SmallRig would not supply them.When I contacted SmallRig directly, they confirmed the item was in stock in their Poland warehouse and could ship to Germany, but they refused to fulfil the order through their own authorised retailer due to “company policy” (they said they can’t ship to agents like calumet.de). Their proposed solution was for me to cancel my paid order with Calumet and place a new order directly on SmallRig’s website.That’s an unacceptable customer experience. I shouldn’t have to cancel a legitimate, paid order with an authorised retailer and reorder elsewhere because the manufacturer won’t support its own sales channel. It creates extra admin, delays, and uncertainty for the customer and undermines confidence in buying through their retail partners.This also isn’t a one-off. I’ve previously had delays on another SmallRig order due to stock issues, and the response was just a generic apology and a discount code, rather than fixing the underlying fulfilment problems.Overall: poor stock management, poor communication, and a “not our problem” approach when ordering through authorised retailers. I won’t be buying from SmallRig again.

Very poor customer service.

Considering the niche space this company works in I am very disappointed in their idea of customer service. I have Smallrig products which are fine and bought these via Amazon, this is the first (and last time) I buy direct.Poor communication regarding delivery, which is beyond late.Website still shows delivery timescales despite their inability to meet them. I am doing all the chasing for updates and just get a BOT promising me everything and giving me nothing. If you cant honour your stated delivery times then say so and change them on the product pages. Its no surpriser that they have a poor rating here on Trustpilot and seemingly they dont care. I really expected better.

I wish I had read all the terrible


I wish I had read all the terrible reviews before I purchased directly from SmallRig. Ordered on 28th November for the Potato Jet TRIBEX SE Hydraulic and it's still saying processing. After reading all the reviews regarding extra charges for import tax I'm going to push for a full refund.

Should’ve stuck with BeastCage

Bought SmallRig cage for iPhone 16promax - replacing BeastCage I’d used with my previous phone. It’s a solid cage - but I’m really annoyed that I can’t connect my DJI radio mics when using the SmallRig as the frame is too deep/thick for the DJI usb c on receiver. Poor design. Should’ve stuck with BeastCage

Double VAT + Customs + Delays

Ordered directly from SmallRig thinking it would be smooth but it’s been the complete oppositealready paid VAT at checkout then got charged AGAIN by customs with no warning, the order was arround 200€+ and got charged almost another 100€.Had to go through the whole mess of paying it myself and then proving it to SmallRig to get a refund like why is this my job, i sure as well wouldn't be subject to pay VAT twice and pay customs, poor shipping policy and poor shipping service.On top of that the restock date for a giftbox that I've won went from oct 20 to nov 30 with no email, no update, nothing.This is how they handle orders, so this was my first and last time ordering directly from the websiteIf you're reading this: stick to amazon or your local resellers. It’s just not worth the headache (or the prices)...
