Upsale scam on the new grinder, they have removed the spanner locater in the handle so cable free but now need to carry the spanner. If you complain they inform you they can supply an easy fix nut for £18 including postage. Why not keep the spanner in the handle as previous design or supply with the easy fix nut.Total scam.
Just going round and round and getting nowhere.
Indeed one of the worst company that I have done business with. They had me waiting on the phone for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Then after all that time wasted they told me because I didn't have the receipt they would not replace it my 40v 6AH battery. Very disappointing and dissatisfied customer here!!
Their Warranty is worthless and they don't honor it at all. They make parts out of poor quality plastic that only last a few months and the plastic structure of the tool shatters. I have had two spin trimmers fail exactly the same way. I bought the second while they stalled for months before claiming the first was repaired only to have it fall apart weeks later. They claim to register tools on line and save the receipts But they disappear when I try to locate tools that I previously registered to get them repaired.
I have purchased my last Ryobi tool. Their warrenty is crap. Their customer service is worse. I have 4 broken tools now still under warranty. You have to drive hours to get to one of their authorized service locations. Then you wait 6 months for them to determine it's not repairable, then when you're told Ryobi is sending you a replacement tool, you wait 4 months then call them only to be told that they are investigating your claim. In other words, there is no such thing as a warrenty and they just ignore you. I'm amazed there isn't a class action lawsuit against these crooks and Home Depot for selling their crap tools.
Purchased a $2600 (sale price) Electric Riding Lawn Mower with 100 Ah batteries that lasted less than 3 years before giving me all sorts of problems, including all of the batteries needing replaced. After contacting Ryobi support for repair or service options, they offered no help whatsoever, no reconciliation, and simply recommended I spend over 1K on all new batteries to see if that fixes my problems. Which, by the way, requires certain tools I don't have and the ability to pick up and pull out a 200 plus pound battery rack from the back of the mower. If you look at Home Depot's website or app, you'll see the reviews for their electric riding mowers have been terrible lately after so many customers are experiencing the same issues. Consumers should be able to have reasonable expectations on the longevity and reliability of a product that expensive. There is no rational argument for a 2.6K product requiring a 1K+ investment every 2 or 3 years for it to be usable - let alone any other issues it might end up having along the way. If you think about it, that's almost 40% of the cost of the product brand new in 3 years or less. Imagine buying a car for 50K and within 3 years it breaks down and you're asked to spend 20K to get it back up and running.UPDATE: Eventually, after having the same issues with a second set of batteries, I was able to receive adequate support/assistance from Ryobi's parent company. A lead support rep was able salvage this unfortunate situation with an acceptable solution that should buy me another 3 years of life on the mower.
