They have been utterly deplorable

They have been utterly deplorable! I bought a sweater that was too big. Never wore it. Sent it back in good time exactly as instructed. J.Crew proceeded to charge me about $70 for shipping. Nowhere was that made clear and J.Crew provided no proof of the charges. Had I know that would try to extort half the cost of the sweater, I would have kept it and worn it even though it was too big or givwen it to my son. Stay far, far away!!

I would give zero stars. Erased discount, did not recognize my correct address, a pain in the ass. Keep your stuff

Terrible customer service

I purchased a Xmas gift on Dec 9. My son wanted to return it and it was sent back 1/20. I was not able to get a refund but a store credit! Terrible customer service - i'll never buy a holiday gift again from here

I think J Crew makes the best chinos at their price. In a world where everything is getting expensive, it's nice to see their chinos staying more affordable but still fitting great and holding up well

Problems Getting refund

I ordered two dresses, the items were nice quality but they didn’t fit, I returned them and approximately 3 weeks later received an email stating that they had received my returns and £95 would be refunded, I only received £47.50! The amount of time I’ve wasted trying to get the rest of my refund makes me SO cross!

They make profits on returns

They make profits by using ridiculous size tables, then they charge 46€ for the return. Company is one big scam.

Terrible!

Terrible!Ordered items November 10 with 25% discount and did not work.. emailed & was told it would be done manually with order number.. but then another email stated oh oops only in US not Canada.. Well, not right .. So I want my order cancelled.. It says on website here to help.. What help .. terrible because you cannot speak to anyone and different people answer emails .., I don’t want the items & very POOR customer service..

J Crew is the worst company out there today

I just spoke with Sherry (a manager in Customer Service) at J Crew and asked if she could kindly look into why I had not received my 20% discount code that I never received after completing 3 different reviews on 3 different J Crew orders I had placed. All of my reviews have been posted and confirmed. Sherry then says I did not receive the discount code because it takes 3-5 business days to receive the code. This was after calling three times this morning to find out about what may have happened and being hung up on because the overseas representatives did not understand English so they hungup on me instead of just transferring me to a US based team for assistance. J Crew has fallen so far downhill there is sadly no hope for recovery. The customer engagement and service is the worst out there. Lesson learned. If you are bombarded with requests to do customer reviews for J Crew just delete the emails as it's their usual duplicitous way of doing business. Another one bites the dust. Goodbye and good riddance to J Crew.

Online ordering/shipping is the worst

Over the past 6 months I have ordered from JCrew online approximately 7 times. Of those 7 times, I have only received my orders 3 times. I am not exaggerating either. In every case the orders are shipped from NC to a warehouse in Bridgeport, NJ-(I live outside Philadelphia)Tracking from UPS indicates they depart that facility and I usually receive notification subsequently that the item was delivered. When I call JCrew to inquire because there was no delivery made or attempted, I'm usually instructed to wait a few days-meanwhile it's already past the already slow 10 or 14 day mark since I placed the order. Eventually I have to call back, plead my case, etc... at times I have accepted their offer to replace the now determined lost item. They provide free overnight shipping except in this most recent case, I am still waiting for the express shipped item I was promised 3 days ago and I have to once again make the calls, you know the drill. UPS, when contacted provides zero information and support. I can't be the only person this happens to and frankly, nobody at JCrew seems to care that much. I don't know where the blame lies here but I know I am a very frustrated consumer and if JCrew cared one iota about their customers, they would address this major issue. I can only conclude their blatant incompetence speaks volumes about their regard for their (now former)customer base.

GAP HAS CLASSIER WORKERS THAN AT THE JCREW AT 900 n MICHIGAN ICAGO LOCATION

If i could give the store a zero rating i would. i went to shop with my new married daughter who just got a new job and just wanted a few sweaters , a somewhat tall med ash blonde sales associates that worked there acted like they werent even at work this day. While she had her cord and mic and was a worker there. She was dismissive and rude and could not even answer a question back with a nice tone. Customer service workers need a nice tone, people deserve respect when they are shopping at what is supposed to be a "better branded store. I will never shop Jcrew ever again! i would not support a company that hires such people to represent there store, she most likely was a manager or atleast a senior associate with the attitude she showed. A huge dissapoinment . Hire better people JCREW for a store that is located in a downtown area and its chicago with a diverse population! I HAVE SHOPPED MAG MILE THE LAST 30 YEARS.

Spent $500 and I actually got…

J Crew. Spent $500 and I actually got everything half price. All of my summer tops came out of the dryer wrinkled. I always take my clothing out of the dryer when the clothing is still warm, to hang. Apparently, all of their c*** needs to be ironed, really! Horrible material, even the t shirts were not made properly. I'm a size 6, and I bought large t-shirts for comfort. They seemed soft in the store. But after washing the material was kind of rough and they were too tight under my arms again, I'm only a size 6 with small arms. Reached out to corporate because I was so unsatisfied. Instead of allowing me to take them back to the store, they said, return all the clothing to corporate, pay for the return shipping and we will look at the clothing and review the issues. Donated everything. Their clothes suck and are over priced. I went to Banana Republic today. Their quality is outstanding and the fit is perfect. Love the extra attention you get from the sales people as well. Also stopped at Old Navy and bought some shirts. Even their quality was outstanding and so inexpensive.

Shopping on Jcrew factory website is…a pain in my rear

Shopping on Jcrew factory website is painful!! OMG, I hate it. Page jumps, I put things in my cart and the site goes down when my internet is not, and then when you check out (I have to go to my laptop to do it), and it is very NOT user friendly when it comes to entering your info. You sit there like an idiot trying to figure out what the heck it wants so you can place the order. It is not laid out to understand on the check out process. You go nuts.

Worse place to buy from

Every time you go in and out you lose rewards, or they change, as well as prices. Funny that only the sizes you need are all taken. It’s like they see you coming. Specials they offer change once you get to your pay option. Take a photo of your purchases because you are charged a different price once you pay, but you are not given a warning. If you use a jcrew credit card, the prices go up once you sign in. I guess this company believes you will not call in to get your prices changed. Price changes must be common because when you call customer service they even have an option available for this. Product is not good, unless you pay double or triple the price. Product rips, fades & comes unsewn on its own. Not a good company to do business with. They even offer discounts for you to give a review. Companies should not have to offer discounts for reviews. The site kept blocking me from making my purchase because it was a large order with a lot of discounts. It eventually blocked me from the site so I would not place my order.

Worst customer experience ever

Worst customer experience ever. I placed an order on July 22 and haven't received it by now although they have already deduced the money from my credit card. Made several request on-line and also called them and they could not give me a status of my order and they couldn't even give me a tracking number for shipment.

Sent me the wrong item and still wanted me to pay!

Wow! Poor customer service. I ordered a skirt and they sent me blouse, something I did not even order. When I contacted customer service, they wanted ME to pay for shipping to return the incorrect item and would not credit me for the shipping I was charged to receive the incorrect item. Needless to say, I am done with J.Crew, website and brick and mortar locations. Do better!

J. Crew - zero customer support

I have long loved J. Crew products and was excited to get some items I ordered from them online. There was a delay with shipping and I thought, no big deal, I'm not in a rush. But when I didn't hear back from them I went onto the website to send an email through their customer service contact system to ask the status of shipping. The email contact system wasn't working - the pop up required checking a box that didn't exist. So I tried the customer service live chat function and received a message that the chat feature wasn't functioning. So I tried to call the customer service phone number and was on hold for 15 minutes with no answer or estimation of length of hold time. So I tried to call their international customer service number and was on hold for 15 minutes same result - no answer or hold time estimation. As a last ditch effort I just sent an email through their corporate partnerships email account but given all the ways in which J. Crew customer relations has not worked, I am not that hopeful.J. Crew - I cannot believe I need to write this review. Your company customer service team is so bad, so nonexistant. I'm surprised and deeply disappointed.

Jill and Shena from the Lenox location…

Jill and Shena from the Lenox location in Atlanta,Ga were absolutely amazing!!!! Both ladies were very attentive and had amazing high energy! They made my experience very quick and seamless. Will definitely be back to shop with them!
