Great product, unfortunately the Customer Service structure is horrible unless your conducting million dollar projects. Multiple issues with Fleet tool returns, not advising that new version of the tools have been modified not to fit our current bits until we are on jobsites, billing issues, flat out lied to by multiple account reps that have been assigned to our account over the years. Says something when there is high turnover in account reps. The tools are great; just horrible representation in the USA
Had a hilti rep call me recently. Whilst explaining that I now prefer dewalt due to the fact that hilti are way too expensive he simply put the phone down on me. This is a perfect example of how poor hilti are nowadays. Hilti collated screw gun set is over a thousand pounds compared to under three hundred pounds for a dewalt!!
Not a review of the actual services themselves. But one of the Hilti cars were parked in my cul de sac and ran over my little boys scooter completely destroying the brake and the back wheel.
Very disappointing experience with the communication and issue resolution within this company. The treatment was very unfair and lacked transparency. You would expect way more openness, clear communication, and respect towards employees from a company of this stature. Unfortunately, this company does not meet those expectations as an employer.
Hilti Rotating Laser – major disappointment from a so-called premium brandBuyers, beware. I bought a Hilti rotating laser expecting top-notch quality. Sadly, the experience has been the exact opposite.I used the laser on just four foundation slabs, yet it broke down three times with the exact same issue. Twice during the warranty period, Hilti’s service did nothing but calibrate the device and claimed it was “fixed.” The issue kept coming back – even in the hands of a Hilti reseller, who experienced the same problem. Again, only calibration, no real repair.After the warranty expired, I was suddenly quoted €320 for a repair, almost the price of a brand-new laser from another brand.This is unacceptable. From a company like Hilti, I expected responsibility and product reliability – not repeated malfunctions and expensive repairs after minimal use. I own other measurement tools from competitors, and they’ve worked flawlessly for years.I’ve lost all trust in Hilti – I won’t buy anything from them ever again.
Had a Hilti employee, a bald very overweight 40 year old driving a Hilti red electric estate in a manner dangerous to the public overtake me in a reckless Manor. This cretin nearly knocked me of my motorcycle. He over took my motor bike at high speed only to have to stop 200 meters up the road for the traffic lights on lady bower Bridge near Sheffield. . He then turned left onto Manchester Rd heading west. How can Hilti afford to have a bafoon drive in a Manor dangerous to the public like this guy did. This happened Sunday 15.06.25 time 12:20 PM description of driver balding short redish hair, very over weight. Around 40 years of age . Wearing head phones while driving, and driving like an idiot. If i have to chance leave 0 star review i would leave it! I had laser PM2L level from Hilti never had any issiue, i keep in tool chest and i broke the top glass, i check with another laser horizontal works well but decided to fix it, they sent me on quote Top of the charge 179ÂŁ+VAT+ postage end up with 228ÂŁ!!! Cost new one is 188ÂŁ Terreble customer service im Glad to use Milwaukee"... If only had read the reviews, Never buying again Hilti...
Dreadful customer service. Poor staff product knowledge. Hilti has a very 'entitled' attitude and in the event of errors made by Hilti, the customer is expected to jump through hoops in order to get a refund / collection of products sent in error. In addition, we have stopped using Hilti equipment in the last 5 years, as the product quality seems to have significantly reduced. This means more regular repairs, which are astronomical in cost and can only be carried out by Hilti. In a lot of cases, Hilti refuse to repair equipment that requires minor repair work, in the interest of selling new equipment and the various different finance plans that they offer. We have found Bosch equipment to be more reliable and service & repair can be carried out by independent companies, quickly and much more cost effectively.
Customer service at Hillington is always good although dealing with tool repair is not. I bought the masonry 600 cut off saw for ÂŁ1180 it is not used every week occasionally used. Was fixed during warranty the same repair was quoted ÂŁ415 outside warranty last year now this year the repair is ÂŁ740 that's ÂŁ100 more expensive as a sthil saw. Saw cost ÂŁ2335. Would you spend that in hires over 4 years or 3 or 4 other masonry saws .I would stay away from this tool unless you have money you need to waste. I was lead to believe if you bought this make it would last forever it never even outlast a recon sthil saw at ÂŁ180. They make out it will last you a lifetime it certainly does not
Hilty is the worst cutomer service in the world. There products dont last and way to expensive. Very quickly and "friendly" to sell something and take your money... then you are hooked and they and noboddy will help you. If you bought wrong??? be aware you are stuck. Maybe just change the item- NO NO NO. They steal from there customer's. They don't even want to talk to you.Workshop repairs - they will steal you money and give it back to you like it was. If you send it back again - sorry you wait to long and just pay again and again and again. No spesial treatment with a big purchase.Luckily there are brands like boch cordless that is 16 years old with hard construction behind that kick the dust into my hilty drill. And still work as new. Hilty drill are 4 times in for repair and still broken. Hilty is by far not the best with the poorest customer service ever. After 30 years with hilty it is time to change. If you are just a normal construction worker ho work for yourself hilty will drop you and take from you. They will NOT HELP YOU IN ANY WAY...
Ordered a radio to replace our old Hilti radio but looks exactly the same, when it turned up it uses the newer batteries which none of our Hilti tools use so needed to go back only to be stung with a 20% restocking charge! Make sure you know what you are ordering to avoid this!
Purchased a hand-held gas saw DSH 700-X14." Very poor service and product. Not even worth one star!Horrible service! They do not give a warranty and if something is wrong, they do not fix the issue, but they keep sending voices for payment. As far as I am concerned, they should not have even been in business! Cheap products, no warranty, and no repairs.
Overpriced and does not live up to the name. Also, their warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s written on so I won’t be buying Hilti again. To be honest DeWalt is the best value for money if you want a professional opinion.
Bad experience with the service department and customer service. All hyped up for no reason. South Jersey / Pennsylvania area.
Awful company. Nepotism for their own and cultural racism is rife.
Hilti employee completely blew through a stop sign and almost hit us in their company car. Might want to make sure the workers actually know how to drive before giving them cars. Then had the audacity to flip us off when we didn’t even have a stop sign and had the right of way. An aggressive, bald, loser not a good look for the company.
Terrible customer service.
Sent a Hilti gx-90 nail gun off for a repair which is was optimistic that it would be an easy fix. I herd nothing for two weeks even though I specifically asked them to ring me as I don’t use email often. I decided to ring them and enquire about my gun to be told that the gun had been sent back to me and I now owed them £60 for taking my gun to pieces. They also quoted me £590 to repair the gun the same price as a brand new Paslode. Shocking service, shocking gun, never again.
I spent over $1000 on a Hilti drill two batteries . Charger and rattle gun thinking I would have it for life .well not to be one battery stoped working bout one year ago now second ones has done the same . Rang Hilti only to be told they DONT MAKE that one any more through it all away a buy more . So please people think twice be you buy Hilti the cheap brands offer better warranty and service. I received a note to ring customer service to sort it out I did was told I would receive a call back next day with help waited three days and I rang back only to be told look on EBAY for old one . Just lovely HILTI .
